First visit here today for lunch. On arrival there was a queue to be seated and I could see it was so busy inside so expected a long wait and slow service however this wasn't the case. We were seated within minutes by a pleasant gentleman. Another friendly member of staff came over shortly to take our order and food was on the table very quickly! I am so impressed with how busy they were and there wasn't that many people serving but they were all so attentive and efficient. Not to mention the Coronation chicken sandwiches were delicious. Really fresh, soft bread and packed with filling. Will be back soon!

If your looking for a quiet location with great facilities, this is fabulous. The campsite is basic but the facilities within the coffee shop are immaculate and of a high standard. There is a lovely coffee shop and farm shop. The site is a working farm with animals. Further along on the site, there is a stream and children's play area. The views are of Roseberry Topping and Captain Cooks monument.

Had a wonderful breakfast here, the quality of the ingredients was excellent, the scrambled eggs were the best I've ever eaten. The restaurant was comfortable, clean and accessible to all. The staff were attentive too. The only thing that needed improving was the farm shop, sadly we came away empty-handed.

I just found this place looking on Google Maps for somewhere to go for Brunch. Situated down a narrow lane at the back of Great Ayton, overlooked by Captain Cooks' Monument, it's a nice coffee shop and farm shop built in barns.

On a hot day like today (28°c), it was noted that they had air conditioning installed, unusual in the UK, but appreciated. Food was excellent as can be seen in the photos. Service speed wasn't too bad, not like some reviews have said. Staff were friendly, and seemed to be very busy. The farm has some goats and sheep that you can feed (bag of food £2 from the farm shop).

There's a small playground and trampoline, and a stream passing through to paddle in, for use of coffee shop customers at no extra charge. A nice countryside retreat.

This is a basic but friendly campsite operated by a farm which also has a shop and cafe/restaurant on site. ||It is quiet with excellent views towards Captain Cook’s Monument and walkable to Great Ayton.||Unfortunately the toilet facilities were inadequate. These are shared with the cafe with key code access out of hours for campers. Over the weekend we spent at the site, there was inadequate provision of loo paper in both the gents and ladies toilets. Also one of the two showers was “ out of order”.

Weekends:

Service is excellent.
Quite a noisy environment, so we sat outside.
Food is exemplary....
One of the best breakfasts in the area.

Update: October 2024: -
Still a really great breakfast and generously sized. We arrived at 9am on a Friday and it was nice and quiet. Friendly staff as always and even provided a bowl for the dogs sausage.

The pumpkin hunt was set up near the farm shop and the decor in the coffee shop was fab!

We were on holiday over Easter so ordered a small buffet which everyone enjoyed. I appreciated the honesty that there was a delay so we were happy to wait. Breakfast on Saturday was excellent which was delicious and great service considering how busy they were. I highly recommend this family run farm shop and will visit again when in the area.
