Great location for Gatwick Airport. Free parking. Free & good WIFI. Good price. Clean basic room with a powerful shower. There is a dispenser by the sink otherwise you need to bring your own toiletries. Thankfully I had just enough face wash to use in the shower. For the money, it's a good offer. Haven't given 5-stars because the room was very hot and no shower gel provided. Will use again.

Note, there isn't a reception however you speak to someone via an intercom and the room key is in a key locker with code.

I have never stayed in a place so awful. The room walls are paper thin (I won’t tell you what was going on in the room next to us, it woke me up. What made it worse was we had our 3 kids with us potentially hearing those same noises, I was just praying my kids would stay asleep), the stairs are super creaky (no use of an elevator in taking up all of our luggage), the beds had springs poking through (I weigh 120 pounds, 5 foot 6 inches, I am not a big person!) and the bathroom made horrible noises every time you used the water. The carpeted floor was dirty and had holes throughout, it was gross. The only plus was the eggs, bacon and juice in the fridge available for anyone who wanted to fix a breakfast at any time day or night. ||||There is no way I would have stayed in that place a second night. I know it’s cheap, but I booked the place because of great reviews. I don’t understand how it has so many great reviews!! I wanted to make sure I left one of my own, to warn others who may be thinking about this place and hopefully spare them the awful experience we had. Book somewhere else and pay more, you’ll be so happy you did.

Clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small, but served its purpose. Water pressure was good. Service was friendly and efficient. It's an 8 minute drive to Gatwick from the hotel, so perfect for an overnight stay before an early flight. Would recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights, I commute during the winter months, working out of Gatwick. Would normally stay at the Travelodge, but was recommended this place by a family member. |Beds are comfortable and water is hot, clean sheets and towels on arrival. Parking and WiFi included (have to pay xtra at TL)|Absolutely love the communal kitchen, love being able to cook my own food and not live off of ‘Kettle foods’ (winning fact for me) |Only complaint is the ‘tiredness’ and ‘thin walls’ of the building! A bit of TLC and the place would be great! |Will book again and I’m sure a lot of my colleagues would be interested!

It's a good place for a short stay near the airport. The room is small but has all the necessary amenities and it's clean. The common area is very nice, with a fully equipped large kitchen and many foods available to cook (eggs, bacon, potatoes, oats) as well as cereals, bread and jam. It's near the airport and there are public buses nearby that take you to the airport. A problem is that there's no elevator, so if you have large luggage it can be a struggle. Also, the bathroom was outside the room which isn't very convenient. Reception isn't 24/7 but they'll send detailed instructions to self check-in

Great stay for £35! We knew we just wanted something super close to gatwick for an early morning flight, this was perfect for that. Self check in, just had codes sent to my email for the front door and then a key safe for our room key. Its a very basic space but what do you expect for £35! The furniture looked like it had been brought from a charity shop, all miss matched but sheets were clean and it had tea coffee, kettle, iron, ensuite. The only bad thing was that the matress was supppppper squeaky. And you can hear other people coming in, and the road outside. But ear plugs sorted that out for me.

We were looking for a hotel for the night before our flight, travelling in January we were unsure how the weather might hold up so we needed a cheap hotel to ensure we made it to Gatwick on time. For £35 we were apprehensive as to what we might find but were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. ||||The hotel was easy to find, with onsite parking, within close proximity to Gatwick but not under the flightpath and a 5 minute walk to a pub/restaurant. Having endured a few disturbed nights sleep at the Gatwick Travelodge we had a decent night sleep here, the beds were comfy and the room was warm and a decent size. Although we did not use the kitchen the fridge was well stocked with breakfast items for communal use, and the kitchen was clean. ||||Upon arrival we had not received the door code or the code for our room, however after phoning reception we were given access to these promptly.||||Overall for the price we paid we really cannot find fault with the hotel. That being said this hotel put others we have stayed at to shame and we would recommend this hotel to others who don’t want to pay too much for a bed. Should we travel from Gatwick again we would not hesitate to stay here again. ||||Thank you for a great overnight stay.

It is an unusual sort of place, and the price indicates what you will encounter, but as a solo traveller, the place was fine, but basic, if you are just looking for a bed, and not an experience it should be fine. The place is perhaps in need of a refurb, it has been "well-used", but I didn't encounter anything I considered unsafe. The breakfast set-up is unusual, but fine (a fridge full of eggs, bacon, bread, jam and butter), and the kitchen set-up like a youth hostel. You do get what you pay for, and in this instance, it is basic but not a rip-off.
