My partner and I stayed here for one night on the 15th Feb 2025..
Room was clean upon arrival bed was comfortable pillows was to hard for us..tv worked very well.. really do get what u pay for..but me and my partner said we would stay her again..close to city centre, coop next door and fast food place is very nice good price too.
Only thing I say is walls to room could to with a lick of paint 🎨

Great location alongside to the co-op on London Street if that helps!
Could have had a few touches added and things repaired. I'd stay again, but I would not pay £88 for it again. At that price the bedside lamp wouldn't have been smashed, the toilet roll holder, wouldn't be screwed on one side only, the toilet wouldn't be stained inside, the waterfall shower wouldn't have bits missing, and the walls wouldn't be full of black scuff marks... at £40 I'd be ok with it. However that was just one room, and others could have been miles better. The staff were very responsive and helpful when the remote didn't work and we needed more towels. Polite and courteous.
Location was handy ama only a mile and a half from uni digs. No pubs within walking distance, unless a 30 minute trek is to your liking! I have a bad knee, but I was driving so it wasn't a problem. The co-op and takeaway which share the building, was very handy for extra coffee and milk.

The place is pretty beaten up and damaged through out, when I arrived at my room the floor was sticky and was gripping my shoes as I walked in. A cleaner came on the 6th day to quickly hoover. I misplaced my key and when I arrived back to the hotel the “owner” who came downstairs looking like he just rolled out of bed. told me I need to go to sleep and not to bother him because it was midnight, although I was working night shifts… What hotel owner tells his guests to go to sleep, I found it quite comical actually how out of touch he is.

But he was never able to give me a secondary key for the remainder of my stay and so I had to leave and enter the premises with my colleague.

When we left 2 rooms, 3 days early they had the audacity to call my company and tell them that I never returned the key card and wanted to charge.

Greedy, unprofessional and just basically a cheap hostel definitely would not consider this a hotel!

The hotel is basic so if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep it’s fine. It was clean and the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. There was no mirror in the room and the bedside lights had no bulbs. There are only three parking spaces because the spaces at the front belong to someone else so we had to park in the next street. The information and photographs of the kitchen on the website are misleading. It’s a nice space and you can use it but you have to bring your own food.

The convenience store next door was great to have, and restaurants are nearby. The front desk generously let me borrow a phone charger. Oddly, he couldn't book a room at the front desk, and I had to do so online. The room I stayed in had 1 small window in the ceiling. Furnishing and fixtures in the room are falling apart. The room was very hot with no method to control temperature, but the small window minorly helped. The walls are very dirty. The shower worked really well and was hot when needed.

We have been staying at this hotel for a number of weeks for work, Costa from the maintenance team has been really helpful and friendly. Whenever we have had an issue he quickly gets it sorted and keeps us updated. He is always willing to help us out with anything we need. We would give his service a 10 out of 10.

Location is great, next to supermarket and restaurant and bus stop. Carpark is limited to only 3 spaces. The room itself is normal, weak wifi in room , nothing fancy. But what I can’t stand is the strong stench in the kitchen. It’s poorly ventilated and all our clothes smell after entering. Wouldn’t recommend to book this place for the kitchen. Washing machine cost 2 pounds per use.

Functional and clean, if devoid of real comfort or character, but what really is unacceptable is the useless WiFi. Impossible to get anything done because every few minutes it would cut out or, despite being connected, tell me there was no internet connection. In this day and age that’s inexcusable. I would rather pay for a functioning WiFi than a free one that doesn’t work. Ruined my stay.
