Ford Down Farm is set in a beautifully quiet location just outside South Molton. My brother and I were cycling Lands end to John O Groats, so after a long day of cycling were delighted to be received by Frank and Susan who are warm and friendly, but most importantly understood we had a long day and were keen to get settled and refreshed. Our twin room with ensuite was immaculate and very comfortable.|Having enquired about dinner options prior to our arrival, Frank had booked us a table at the local pub and knowing we only had our bikes for transport, he very kindly drove us the 2miles to the pub and insisted on picking us up afterwards. That is customer service at its best!|The following morning we had a wonderful cooked breakfast before heading off on our bikes. After two long days cycling through Cornwall and Devon our stay at Ford Down was just what we needed, thanks to Frank and Susan's wonderful hospitality and their beautiful B &B

The welcome was warm, and Frank and Susan could not have been more amenable. The property is secluded, and deliciously quiet, and there is a sweet flower garden with a cosy, covered lovers chair in the corner.. The room was spotless, and the en-suite bathroom too. The four poster bed was comfortable and the linen crisp and clean. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and filled with variety. The horses were friendly, and the hedgehogs well tucked away.. If you want to spend a bit of time in a quiet haven, than don't hesitate to book your stay here. 5*****

My wife and I were visiting South Molton from London in May 2019 and had a lovely stay at Ford Down Farm. The welcome could not have been warmer- tea and ginger cake offered on arrival by Susan and a lovely room- complete with a four poster bed and beautifully laid out with a view over the tranquil Devon countryside. We slept very well and an excellent breakfast included eggs from the free range chickens on the farm and home made plum jam. I would highly recommend Ford Down Farm and look forward to returning.

During my walk from John O'Groats to Lands End, I had a pretty terrible day of walking, felt low and by freak occurance my dear cousin booked me a night at Ford Farm.. I instantly felt at peace, the place feels so calm, beautifully presented, clean and obviously well cared for. The owners are the most beautiful people even offering to help me with some washing of cloths to help with my journey. The bed was super comfortable and breakfast in the morning was first class... the whole place has a lovely homely feel. ||Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.. x

Lovely quiet place, very friendly couple to greet you, we was doing a Removal down there from Blackpool and even accommodated our 2 large vans, Lovely home made breakfast in the morning with eggs fresh from there own chickens 😋 would definitely stay again, thank you so much 😀

Fantastic bedroom and en suite bathroom with stunning countryside views from my window, very warm and friendly hosts and a great breakfast the following morning! Plenty of parking space too - even for my large van!

The place is in a nice quiet area and was perfect for having a little bit of personal time, the views around the area are great to look at in the late evening and a nice village nearby to take a stroll too for something to eat, in the morning a nice breakfast was prepared for us with a nice variety and the couple who run the place were friendly at all times and would definitely stay again.
