I spent a very tranquil 2 nights at Forda Farm. Val was extra accommodating with plenty of breakfast and tea options. I had dinner one night which was very tasty - hopefully see Val on Bake Off soon 😋

Great place to chill out and relax. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Val and Rod are very friendly and Val does like a chat, interesting though. If a relaxing time on a farm is what you are looking for, you wont find a better choice than Forda.

Relaxing couple of days. Very clean and comfortable. Afternoon tea on arrival, nice touch. Val and Rod are very friendly and Val has some interesting stories of the life of a farmer. Excellent breakfast cooked to order.

On arriving at Forda Farm, we were greeted by Val, and her excellent cream tea. Which was a lovely welcome to the farm. Val was a great host and nothing was to much trouble. There was always a welcoming light on outside when we returned late in the evenings from our day's exploring the fantastic area. We loved Vals breakfasts and there was always plenty of choice. Our room Torridge was exceptional, laid out great and very very comfortable. It was always fun playing with the cats and the new kitten. Would not hesitate in coming back. Thank you again Val and Roddy, all the best Andy and Julie.

We had such a lovely stay at Forda Farm and would recommend it unreservedly. We were made very welcome and treated to Val’s great cooking! We were given fabulous freshly baked scones on our arrival and enjoyed a great evening meal and a delicious breakfast.

Our room was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully equipped and very comfortable. The beds and linen were great quality.

We all enjoyed looking around the farm and our children loved seeing the animals.

A wonderfully peaceful spot, with lovely people. A great place to stay - thank you for making us so welcome.

From phoning Val until we came home , she is an absolute star.|We arrived late Friday afternoon after a horrendous drive but Val cheered us up straight away , she asked us whether we wanted our cream tea then or whether we wanted her to put it in a chill bag for us to take with us the next day which was a great idea as we would be having an evening meal with her a couple of hours later. The room was really comfy with plenty of storage, a fridge with fresh milk which Val kept topped up along with biscuits & tea & coffee which we had already chosen before we arrived . The shower is huge with a good water pressure & nice toiletries & fluffy white towels. There is a TV although we never watched it & thoughtful things like a torch & an umbrella provided. We had evening meal all 3 evenings , real food ,like roast dinner & apple & raspberry pie with very local ice cream made with clotted cream, because we knew that Val is not licenced to sell alcohol we took our own wine & Val provided wine glasses for us.|Breakfast was huge & delicious , my husband is an ex lorry driver & even he said that it was better than a trucker's breakfast.|We went to Lydford Gorge which was not far from the farm , that was beautiful & very peaceful.|We were celebrating our Ruby anniversary & Val made it very special for us. |Next time that we are in the area we will definitely stay at Forda Farm again & will recommend it to our friends

We booked in for a few days as a central point to visit and revisit the North Devon coast. Holsworthy is inland, away from the most touristy areas. Forda Farm is in a valley, away from everything. It is a working livestock farm but supremely quiet. Nothing but lambs and birdsong can be heard. Bliss. Val could not have been more welcoming or more accommodating. The room was attached to the farm house, with an ensuite shower room. Very clean and well equipped. As well as being huge, the double bed was super comfy. As a base for exploring the local area without being in the hustle and bustle, we could not regimend Forda Farm too highly.

Lovely friendly, family run onfarm B&B. We really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, home cooking and interaction with the owners rather than the anonymity and online only contact of most other accomodation. A real B&B is a rare find Forda Farm is worth seeking out.
