Stayed for the first time last night and it won't be our last.
We had the warmest welcome, shown about. Lovely and clean stables and field. BBQ, chairs and table with a beautiful butterfly log burner.
The shepherd hut was just the right size, clean with lovely decor, two very comfortable single beds and the best pillows.
Whilst tacking up our horses, we were given detailed information on where to hack. It was a fantastic ride. Guided rides are available too. When we got back and showered the horses and ourselves, with the horses settled in their paddock we jumped in the hot tub to soothe our tired muscles. The Hot tub was a god send from our gracious hosts. They made us feel at total ease.
The next day waking up refreshed we went for another hack after tidying up the stables, hut and paddock.
We received a warm send off too.
Can't wait to return.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful few days staying at Forest Edge Retreat this week. The shepherds hut was super toasty with the log burner despite the cold weather and the kitchenette meant we could cook ourselves breakfast and lunch although making use of the local pubs for dinner. Susie supplied us with everything we needed for our stay, with wood and kindling for the fire and the horses having lovely deep beds and a turnout paddock. Thetford forest was right on our doorstep and we all enjoyed a 10 mile ride with perfect long stretches for a gallop. It is also a great location to be able to take a trip to beautiful Holkham Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come again in the future. 🙂

Best holiday ever! Honestly had such a lovely time, susie was so helpful and sent us some beautiful routes to hack. Our horses loved it too!
The room is so cozy and the shower is amazing! I want to live there 🙂

We had a lovely week, it was my daughters birthday and Susie took a picture of her and her horse and printed it off for a birthday gift, and my daughter loved it!
Very friendly yard and susie goes out of her way to help. We will be back xx
