I recently visited Forest Pines for an overnight stay and two rounds of golf with an old school friend from 40 odd years ago. The hotel room was clean and warm, and had all the facilities for an overnight stay. The bar and restaurant were great for a few post round drinks and our evening meal, and breakfast, the following morning, was generous and freshly cooked.
The golf course was in great condition, considering the recent weather, and the greens were immaculate.
All the hotel and golf course staff were friendly, helpful and polite, and I would like to make a special mention for Kev, the golf course starter, who was great at making sure everything went smoothly for the golfers teeing off for their rounds. We enjoyed a complimentary coffee and chat with Kev whilst we waited to tee off for our back nine, and Kev even joined us on the 10th tee to show us how to hit the perfect drive!
Many thanks to Forest Pines Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort - I will definitely be returning for another golf stay.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my husband to celebrate our anniversary.||Upon arrival, all staff were welcoming and friendly and check-in was a lovely experience.||Our room was spacious and clean with 2 huge, comfortable beds.||Dinner was exceptional. All food was great across 2 dinners and 2 breakfast services. Sunday morning breakfast was really busy, as expected, but the quality of food did not slip, nor did the customer service from the staff.||I would just like to mention how amazing Alex was during dinner service, extremely friendly and attentive throughout our whole interactions with her. She even took the time to ask why we were visiting and once I'd mentioned it was our anniversary, she arranged for small surprise brownie (homemade, on site) to be brought to our table.||Pool area was nice and clean with a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi which seemed to go down really well with everyone.||Overall a fantastic stay and can't wait to come back again.

Emily gave great service in the restaurant. Jasmine and Louise gave both me and my Mum a lovely spa treatment and we had a lovely day! Lovely food and complimentary Prosecco! Pizza was delicious and so was the salad. Good clean and relaxing environment

The room was lovely and clean, the staff were all wonderful and helpful. Beautiful place. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Will also be re booking very soon. Really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of amenities to use and the massage was amazing!

We had a two day Spa experience which was really good. My husband is disabled and registered blind. All the staff were really helpful and very kind.
The food in the restaurant was great and Alex who looked after us on both evenings was very attentive.
We will certainly return to Forest Pines again

Recently stayed for a long weekend with my wife and a couple of friends. We all had a lovely time. We played golf whilst our wives went to the spa and the course was fantastic. The girls were also very impressed with the spa treatments they received. The food and service in the restaurant was fantastic. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a weekend of golf and good times with friends

We are here for business, great hotel, great facilities, lovely food, all the staff do a great job & have been amazing.

Each evening we were served by Alex in the restaurant, she a credit to the team, attentive, helpful and very professional.

The pool / spa / gym as a great little luxury while we are away, great facilities here.

We stayed here for a local wedding and it was mostly good.

The rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast buffet was good (full English and other options available). Some of the staff were also pleasant.

But, there were many bottles and dishes left in the corridors which were not cleared away for many hours even after I had seen room service go past. Some of the staff were also quite rude. The bar manager and the late night receptionist particularly so. The late night receptionist confronted one of our party when he said that some of the staff were rude in a private conversation. This was clearly unprofessional and escalated matters without good cause.

Whether the spa is included in the normal rate is kept ambiguous but it is included from 3pm at check in to 11am on the day of checkout.

The spa was pleasant but not particularly luxurious, it is quite small and was reasonably busy on a Thursday afternoon. Especially as there was a small swimming lesson in one lane of the pool and it is not large. There is a steam room, sauna and pool. The spa was also not signed on the entrance to the building it was in, which is odd, it appeared to be a golf club from the outside.
