I stayed for 6 nights. It was joyous: food was outstanding and original. The owner/hosts -Peter and Sara pay attention to detail and have made an atmosphere of comfort and intelligent delight. The rooms are spacious and so comfy and superbly furnished. It is both elegant and friendly. I can’t wait to return.

Very ambitiously priced and woefully failing to live up to the challenge. The fact that on a fresh Autumn night our room was freezing because the radiator was on the blink undermined any 5 star ambitions. No compensation offered or even an apology. Ideas way above its station.

Incredible hotel with fantastic service. We were welcomed by Dillan (sp?) who made sure we felt at home and ensured we had everything we needed. The room was huge, the bed one of the comfiest I have ever slept on, and the bathroom so spacious - luxurious bath and great shower. The hotel itself is designed to a high standard and the furnishings are great. Cocktails were fantastic (would recommend “signature garden”), really enjoyable dinner on Saturday night and good breakfast on Sunday too. Lovely location to be able to stroll in to Cowes too. I only wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the swimming pool and patio!!

We had the most wonderful stay. We were upgraded on arrival to room 11 which was a huge room made up as a twin (we were two friends staying) with an incredible bathroom. We ate in the hotel restaurant and had some fantastic food. The bar was lovely and the owner Peter introduced himself. Unlike other reviews we thought the breakfast was much better than anything we would normally expect. Home made yoghurt, granola, fresh fruit, fresh pastries, incredible local butter and jam and homemade bread. The coffee was Jaspers a local coffee that was so good we went and bought some in the town. I have recommended this hotel already and look forward to coming back. Thank you!

Everything about the hotel is amazing. The rooms are gorgeous, super comfy beds and so quiet. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in years. Every single detail is perfect. They even have a tea pot and cups in one of the drawers. The bathrooms are exquisite with huge baths and walk in showers. But the best part is the staff. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Sarah and Peter were perfect hosts, they made us feel so welcome it was as if we were visiting old friends. They were kind enough to leave breakfast out for us as they knew we would be jet lagged flying in from the US.
Sarah had a solution to any problem, even my ridiculous drunken needs 🙂
I can’t wait to go back and stay there again.
I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else on the Island. It’s not just a hotel, it’s an experience. Highly highly recommend.

An absolute gem of a place - I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could! A beautifully curated hotel with exceptional attention to detail; stunning bedrooms, a gorgeous bar with knockout cocktails, cosy armchairs next to log fires and exquisite food at the Smoking Lobster. Super friendly and helpful staff with of course the icing on the cake being Peter and Sara - the most wonderful and relaxed hosts who make the place incredibly special. Thank you for such a perfect family long weekend. We can’t wait to come back!

Stayed at this hotel last weekend with other colleagues from a charitable foundation. The hotel was wonderful and the service went above and beyond. We were made so welcome. The food in the restaurant was delicious, with an excellent full English breakfast. I would certainly like to visit again.

dont normally write reviews but felt i had to, it cost us 475 per night for large room and fold up bed.
every time we had a coffee had to ask for sugar, also milk. its like the owners have said to staff to keep it under control.
come on let be generous to people that are paying this much per night, which in my mind is an absolute rip!
we have stayed in numerous hotels and this is the most overpriced i have ever had.
breakfast had to be pre ordered and the time given for some reason, the juice was horrible long life stuff, how hard is it to hsave fresh juices
seems to be no genorosity to the paying customer at all.
i get that its hard to find staff and i know hospoitality very well, but when cvharging this much at least make sure staff are trained well.
this could be much better and should be for the price they charge
