Great little place to stay, clean and friendly service. Fresh milk for coffee, good hot shower which was perfect before my early bus journey to Cardiff. Ideally located to local pub for hot dinner, would definitely stay again 😀

Lets start with the positives. I arrived at the hotel/motel at 07:00 in the morning and I had not booked a room in advance. I called the number on the door and the receptionist/manager? said he would be there in about 20 minutes, which he was. He had a room available and said that I could check in straight away, which was music to my ears as I had been up since 03:00. He then gave me a full new bottle of milk for my tea/coffee and cereals. Great selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and cereals. Clean cereal bowls and good size mugs for tea. Clean comfortable beds/ towels. TV with great selection of channels. HOWEVER..this was by far the coldest room I have ever stayed in and I am from the Faroe Islands in the cold north. None of the radiators worked and there was a tiny, oil filled electric radiator. Although this was a nice thought, unfortunately it was like trying to heat the Albert Hall with a candle. I had a great sleep though, but had to wear tshirt, sweatshirt and socks. I had a great hot shower to warm up. Then at about 19:00 there was a commotion outside that sounded like a dog fight! I still dont know what it was all about and the noise subsided eventually. I woke at 03:30 had another steaming hot shower, dropped the key in the key drop box and the Airport Flyer (expensive 9 quid) picked me up literally right outside. There is the option of booking a slightly cheaper shuttle to the airport from the Airport Tavern over the road, but it was early and I just wanted to be there, so no problem. If you can sort the radiators and dodgy door handle in room 8, then its a winner. GREAT customer service. GREAT location. GREAT convenience GREAT selection tea/coffee/cereals/fresh milk etc, Just need some much needed TLC in room 8. I have just retired after working 15 years in top hotel in the Faroe Islands, so just some constructive criticism. It was very cold even for me 🙂

This was perfect for what we needed. Room was basic but clean and the beds were comfy. Given plenty of milk for tea making and provided with cereals for breakfast in the room. Every member of staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Parking was cheap and plentiful. Would not hesitate to book this place again for the next time we travel!

Stayed here October last year . Friendly staff . Small but nice clean room . Breakfast Cereal and biscuits in room . Milk provided. We are going to book again this year . Transport to the airport was good and coming home had a choice of airport tavern transport if already at airport save phoning which would take you to the forge . Very happy

Absolutely nothing like the other reviews I've read, steer clear and look elsewhere!!! An expensive half pint of fresh milk for a dirty uncleaned room. Parking, cash only with no insurance for parking on private land, it's the owners responsibility even if they prang your car moving it around the (read the small print). Was met by Rory, very nice chap but that's the last time I saw anybody, pure guesswork after that. Thankfully Airport Tavern across the road got us to and from the airport. Few phone calls with owner and son, a course in customer service is recommended👍😁. Good luck but I won't be staying again!!!

Having missed our flight out of bristol, we need to find somewhere to stay overnight. The forge hotel was extremely pocket friendly, the staff happy and really helpful. We were surprised to have tea coffee and cereal included ! It's not the ritz but neither is the price! Comfy, warm and close to airport. Ignore any bad reviews.

What an excellent place to stay. Everything was very clean and laid out ready for us. The staff were excellent and friendly. Yes and coffee was in the room along with cereals for breakfast. ||If you have an early flight from Bristol Airport, this is the place to stay. ||I will be staying again.

Stayed overnight after a late arrival at the airport. Pickup from the airport worked well. The overnight accommodation was excellent. A nice room, very clean, we slept well. We left our car with them while away. The whole experience was first class and we will definitely be using them again
