Liked: An absolutely delightful campsite, as a solo traveller I felt very safe and secure. The converted shepherds hut shower/toilet is fantastic - super clean and that has to be one of the best campsite showers I've ever used! It's literally hotel quality in terms of pressure/temperature.
It's basic, as in there isn't a shop, but that was made clear on the website. And the wifi connection is really good.

Liked: We liked everything about Foxes Furrow. The site is well maintained, immaculately clean and in a lovely quiet location. Leicester is a short drive away and there’s plenty to see and do in the area.

Liked: The site is beautiful and well secluded, tucked away into its own little corner. The toilets and showers were really clean with lots of hot water. Good wifi connection too.

Disliked: The conifer plants outside the toilets - completely at odds with all the native planting elsewhere and completely unneeded, as far as I could work out. Hardly a problem though in terms of staying here!

Liked: Quiet location (OK the combine harvester was working till 10pm but that's countryside life!)
Fantastic showers, best of any campsite I've used.
Super helpful and swift responses from owners - including recommendations for local curry restaurants! Check out Rose & Crown, we got a takeaway.

Disliked: Sloping site which meant not such a great night's sleep in a tent. And we had the choice of anywhere.

Whilst immaculately clean on arrival by the next morning the shower unit floors were covered in grass and water. Suggest owners install a mop.

Liked: Lovely quiet site. Great layout. Quirky toilet block with amazing hot and powerful shower. Lot of character.

Disliked: This isn’t a dislike but the pitch could be made even better by having a flat level surface to sit outside of our camper.

One of the best lodge stays I've ever had! We stayed in Amonite and it's was nothing short of perfection. From the 80s decor to the the tiny little details like sanitary products and locally sourced products made it such a good stay. The tub in the hideaway is amazing and I could of stayed in there the whole time. We will definitely be back!
