Really liked this little butchers, the people there are friendly but this is the 2nd time we have bought meat there that has already turned. First time we wrote it off as us imagining it. However again, we bought 4 steaks and beef mince. The mince and the ribeye steaks were already turned. They smelt horrendous and were totally inedible. Sadly we won't be going back. Totally unacceptable. We couldn't have returned til the next day so had no way to prove we hadn't left the meat out, £60 worth of inedible beef.

Went there today, bought a 5lb pork shoulder, 2 rib eye steaks and some garlic and chilli biltong. Steaks were great, had to share the biltong with quite a few friends which was disappointing as it was really good! Pork will be eaten on Sunday. First visit here since my butchers Baldwins closed, will definitely be back.

I could have sworn I wrote a review for this place, but I can't find it. So months ago, I bought some mince and a single sausage from here as I had passed by many times before and appreciated the "Organic" signs on the outside. The sausage was a boar and apple one, sounds great, but it wasn't tasty at all, what with the apple being tasteless mush and the strongest flavour was that of the pepper... So it would be good if you like weird textures that don't work together and black pepper.
The mince... I've been buying blocks of mince from Waitrose for nearly a year now, which are amazing, but I thought maybe this place could measure up. I discovered that they add water to their mince to make it more expensive, as a small pool of water (yes, water, not fat, they feel, look and smell very different) was gathered around the dry mince after I'd cooked it (I cooked it for far less time than I would a block and on a lower temperature). Don't get their mince if you like good mince. More expensive than the better ones I've had too.
Ridiculously poor quality, not something I would expect from any butcher that is allowed to advertise themselves as organic. The whole point of organic meat is the lack of tampering and that the other animals had good lives, but if it tastes rubbish, how's that for assurance? I won't trust another independent butcher in London.
