We were so pleased to have chosen Fresh Fields with it's beautiful location down a quiet country lane. Janet and Rob are the most kind and thoughtful hosts and were very helpful with their local knowledge particularly of footpaths. We had excellent cooked breakfasts with homemade bread and marmalade as well as delicious homemade shortbread. Great area for walking with lovely views.

I was looking for overnight accommodation for just one night while doing a workshop nearby, and Fresh Fields turned out to be an excellent choice. Rob and Janet were friendly and welcoming, the house is beautiful, the setting and views stunning, and the room was spacious, light, comfortable and airy.||||Breakfast was also great and I particularly appreciated that nothing was provided in disposable packaging. ||||Not only a lovely place to stay but also (a rare thing around Bath) affordably-priced and offering excellent value.||||Highly recommended to anyone looking for accommodation within easy reach of Bath or to explore the surrounding area. I titled the review "the perfect English countryside B&B" because I really think it's just that - a beautiful rural location combined with comfort and relaxed hospitality. Will definitely stay there again next time I need accommodation in the area.

One look at the website and you know straight away that this going to be an amazing choice. What I really liked is the choices that were given about how to arrive, not assuming everyone will arrive by car. In fact, a car is not necessary. Very easy to find. The bus route from Bath is great and Freshfields is close to Avoncliff and Freshford railway stations. The rail method will involve a climb. The whole feel to the area is wonderful and steeped in history.||I was greeted by lovely friendliness, helpfulness and thoughtfulness by both Janet and Rob. The information and knowledge they provide is second to none. The house is immaculate and homely. The large bedroom window has fabulous views and is West facing so the sunsets and the big skies with the twinkling lights of Freshford are breathtaking. I did not draw the curtains at night. There is a sink in bedroom and in bathroom. The other bedroom is only used if booked with main bedroom. Therefore, this is ideal for couples or singles. The rates are extremely good value, given the area, amenities and facilities. There is ample cupboard space in room, wooden hangers and fresh milk is provided. ||Even better, the main bedroom has its own library !!! So many books to cater for all tastes and lots of detailed information about the area. Reading up on the history is great. The local village has lovely buildings, a good pub and an interesting church. There is a nature reserve on the doorstep along Murhill.The next village, Turleigh has more beautiful houses and buildings and this is the best way to walk into Bradford on Avon. There are springs and streams in abundance. Bradford is unique and charming, with even more charming buildings. There is a walk along the Avon and the Avon canal. ||The breakfast at Freshfields is high quality and plentiful. Lots of cereals, fruit, seeds as well as a lovely cooked breakfast. Both hosts take time for a chat and make sure you are happy.||Muddy shoes are dried as well.||This is a truly excellent place. Looking forward to returning.||This place really is a gem

From the day of booking at Fresh fields Janet and Rob were accommodating and helpful. They also shared local knowledge to ensure we arrived safely due to local roads being slightly tricky. |After a day out to Bath we were greeted on our arrival by Janet, Rob and visiting family who were all friendly and welcoming. |Our room was spacious, airy and well equipt. The bed was really comfortable. We were welfare checked promptly after arrival to check we were comfortable and happy. Also brought a jug of milk for tea (a lovely touch). |We were given easy instructions of how to find the local pub (the 7 stars) which we found really easily despite not knowing the area. |We were offered lots of options for breakfast in the morning, and Rob and Janet were really flexible on the time and encouraged us to relax.|The breakfast was beautiful with home made rolls and lots of choice. ||We simply couldn't have asked for better hosts, and we couldn't recommend Fresh fields enough ! |

Superb! peaceful setting, room with a view. Ideal location for exploring many Interesting places, Bath only a few miles away and easy located for one of the park and rides on the outskirts if the city. Wonderful friendly pub 10 minute walk up the hill. Lovely clean room with attention to detail, really good breakfast Janet and Rob are wonderful hosts will definetly stay there again.

I was treated to a trip to Bath for my birthday and we stayed at this gorgeous Fresh Fields bed and breakfast. The views were simply stunning on arrival during a sunny mid-summers evening. We were welcomed with open arms and our hosts were wonderful. The situation couldn't be better, only a 15 minute drive outside the city and at such a good price, it was incredibly good value. It is a little tricky to find but worth the effort. The hot breakfast was lovely, and cooked to order accompanied by a wide range of fruits, toast and cereals. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Even in the rain on the Sunday morning the views were fabulous. We would definitely stay again.

We were very pleased to have found this charming B&B with its wonderful view across the valley. The owners are welcoming; and Rob, a local history enthusiast, was particularly helpful in directing us to places of interest in nearby Bradford-on-Avon. ||Bath is within easy reach: there's an excellent bus service (the nearest stop is less than a ten minute walk from the house). ||||The terrain is quite steep in places, & nothing could have prepared me for the precipitous driveway down to the house, but one soon adjusts!||||Just one negative detail: the comfortable mattress is protected by a plastic-backed sheet. An under-blanket would make all the difference - I should have thought to ask!

This Airbnb is in an Excellent location, it is a gorgeous home, hosted by a lovely friendly couple. The bed is comfy and you get a great breakfast in the morning! There's also a very nice pub nearby which serves a very good pint along with excellent meals.
