Absolutely hands down the best hosts for a brilliant hotel..! Abbie and James are so accommodating to fit ur needs in all aspects, nothings ever too much and we’ve made some good friends in them.. we’ve stayed here the last 2 yrs and definitely will be for many more to come!

Stayed here a couple of times and honestly don't think I'd stay anywhere else on the island.

Rooms are clean, cosy and have everything you need. Views are lovely.

Hotel is in a great location within walking distance into Sandown and the beach!

Abbie the hostess is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she will go out of her way to make sure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Will definitely be coming to visit again!

Friendly, helpful, accomodating. Abbie and James are lovely. For breakfast there was cooked and continental. They are refurbishing but the rooms are clean and comfortable. I came here with a friend for the IOW Festival and it was perfect. Really easy for the festival bus or normal buses. Abbie had all the information printed on times and gave directions. Would definitely stay here again.

Very aptly named as you will leave here with new friends.

Such fantastic hosts - Abbie is hands-down one of the kindest and soundest people I have ever met.

The hotel itself is in a great location, very handy for all the bus routes and 2 minutes from the train station.

It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the high street, the beach and all the local amenities.

We enjoyed a room with far reaching views of the downs and a glimpse of the sea. Clean, cosy, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need.

Breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection - and dietary restrictions were kindly catered for.

Sandown is the perfect place to stay on the Island with easy transport to the many attractions and many within walking distance. Great prices on the local beach for SUP hire is just one of the things we will return for.

Abbie is the best host we’ve ever had on the IOW, she is happy helpful and really does do a fantastic breakfast with a Smile. We had 3 fantastic nights sleep, rooms are basic and very clean with a price tag not to grumble at,|Hotel is being upgraded day in day out, Negative reviews are really not appropriate for the price.so good we are staying again.|23rd-26th August 2024 Grant/Justine x

Being a coach driver and staying at many hotels in the UK and Europe, I stayed at the friend's hotel in Sandown isle of wight and I can honestly say wow! I couldn't of wished for a better welcome and stay. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the food is amazing. Abbie and James have recently moved to the hotel and are tge nicest hoteliers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Nothing is any trouble to make your stay enjoyable. They have some great plans with the hotel and its a great project. I have truly made some lovely friends and I will be visiting again soon. Keep up the great work guys

Friends Hotel is a charming place to stay. The proprietors could not be more friendly or helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure I enjoyed my stay. Most important for me, the bed was very comfortable and I slept really well in this peaceful hotel. My two large dogs were made very welcome too. There is a limited amount of parking on site but ample free in the quite road outside. The Hotel is just five minutes walk from the huge Los Altos Park and maybe a little more than ten minutes walk from the sea front and shops. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Friends Hotel and would definitely make a return visit.
