Excellent location for the weekend away, and close to Nyman's National Trust. Upon arrival the reception staff were friendly and expecting us, and fresh milk and a bottle of wine had thoughtfully been left in the fridge. Accommodation was "tired but quirky" ... Toilets only on the ground floor, and the only shower on the first floor although there is a bath in the ground floor bedroom.. Typical cottage style, with lovely low beams, and door frames... The kitchen is well equipped, and the bed linen and towels were all fresh and clean, although the lounge furnishings were rather tired. Make sure if you stay here to ask for the main gate key code, as we arrived back late, and the gate key fob given to us did not work, and neither of the two call out numbers answered.... Hence the lower rating for service... Fortunately after some time we managed to gain access by ourselves...
