A delightful retreat with beautiful views. Simon and Julie are friendly and welcoming and informative about the area. Breakfast was delicious with eggs from their chickens. Lovely room with super king bed, luxuriously soft pillows and duvet. All we needed provided with a peaceful atmosphere. Lovely walks in Laurie Lee's favourite area. |Only drawback was steep and narrow lanes to approach.

Furners Farm is situated in the heart of the Slad Valley with delightful views. The Annexe comprises a very large double bedroom with an en suite bathroom / shower / with.||The delicious and substantial breakfast is served in the conservatory of the main house by hosts, Julie & Simon Cooper. They are a delightful and welcoming couple for whom nothing is too much trouble. A great place to base yourself when visiting the Cotswolds.

Well, where shall I start? We had three perfect days at Furners Farm B&B. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. You walked out your front door to views that make the heart sing - apple trees, rolling hills, stone walls, gorgeous flowers, sheep, old cottages... It's on a narrow one-lane out-of-the-way road, so I was very glad we'd rented a compact car.||The breakfast is off-the-charts with everything homemade or locally sourced. Julie and Simon are lovely hosts. We listened to "Cider With Rosie" by local celebrity - Laurie Lee - as an audiobook read by the author, and it brought this peaceful area alive. This place is incredible.

What a wonderful place! The area is absolutely beautiful. The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Views of the surrounding Slad valley is breathtaking, and so relaxing. Breakfast was also so amazing in a nice room with great views. Hosts Simon and Julie were wonderful, friendly, and interesting. The surrounding area has so much to see, or just drive around, it's awesome!

If you have an adventurous spirit and are not daunted by single track roads, potholes or cats (two, very well behaved), this B and B is heaven. Situated at the end of a farm track, reached by leaving the main Slad to Stroud road and negotiating narrow windy country roads for a couple of miles, the flower-filled garden with views to die for across the Slad valley will instantly calm any frazzled nerves.||The large ground-floor room and en-suite are cosy and full of antiques, with very comfy singles or king-sized bed and feather duvets and pillows. The breakfasts are delicious and full of home produce. Simon and Julie are lovely hosts and happy to talk about the history of the farm and its links with Laurie Lee.||There are local eateries (not all open on Sundays) but if you can’t face tackling the road for an evening meal, there is nothing nicer than the 30 minute walk to the Woolpack across the fields (some steep inclines) provided the weather is on your side.||I had planned to use the meditation room at the farm, but as there was a bench outside the room, I found all the peace I wanted just sitting watching the sun setting over the garden.||The farm is right on the Laurie Lee Wildlife Walk, which is well worth doing and also takes in the pub!

Turning onto the Vatch from the B road out of Stroud and negotiating the single track with bends up hill to Elcombe you are too busy watching the road to take in the beautiful scenery, when you arrive at Furners Farm though and stand in the garden looking across to Slad the scene is amazing. Walking from the farm on the Laurie Lee Wildlife Way is to be recommended. The Coopers are good hosts making us welcome, hearty breakfast and fresh milk in the fridge in the room.

A large and spacious room, seperate from the main house, faces onto the stunning views of Slad valley. Furners Farm has public footpaths running directly from it, beautiful gardens, and a quite/meditation room that guests can use. For countryside lovers it's a dream. ||To cap it all off is an amazing 5 star breakfast, with homemade jams, bread, stewed plums, and pressed apple juice, in a stunning summer room. ||Highly recommended!

Such a lovely Farm B&B. Happened to book it by chance as we were in Stroud and didn’t want to go back. Called the B&B , Julie and Simon were kind enough to make up a room for us in half hour notice. The room was so spacious and comfy. We loved our stay here. The views from the room was scenic and breakfast was so delicious. Such an amazing experience. Thank you so much Julie and Simon, from Sara and Zaib
