Just come back from my first visit. Not too busy so great staff to guest ratio. What you’d expect for the price although the damp walls in both ladies changing rooms need sorting. Floor in brassiere had crumbs etc. Staff were impressive. Feels up-market but mgt need to keep on top of the maintenance to charge the prices

Such a lush place. So clean and well kept- the housekeepers/cleaners clearly work very hard! The place is never too crowded and there’s lots of facilities/chill-out spaces. Had an amazing hot stone massage from Nikita- didn’t want it to end! The vegan cream tea is to die for- didn’t feel like it was an afterthought or that I was missing out on anything! Really like the new wellness room and the soft drinks dispensers. Every single staff member we met was so, so lovely and clearly cared about our wellbeing. The servers in the restaurant were so attentive. One of them saw I was too hot and opened the door for me as well as going to the back to get her own fan for me to use- absolute angel! I didn’t get your name but thank you so much!!! Love that all the products are vegan and cruelty free too. Seriously recommend this place to everyone that wants/needs a treat and a proper spa day.

I have been a few times over the last 6 months and it still remains one of the best day spas, however the service and experience has really changed. They over subscribe the day spa guests, the last time we went we couldn’t even sit on a bed inside. Providing the calm room (or over flow) away from the pool is not a sufficient for the price point.
The treatment are great and I highly recommend Andrea!

I’ve been here multiple times now and each time is as exceptional as the previous one. The space is so calming with options as to what you want to do.
They have two pools, a general one and a hydrotherapy one which has a small outdoor seating section (something very special about sitting out there in the dark with the stars). They’ve multiple steam and sauna rooms as well as a Laconium. There’s a relaxation room for post treatments too which is very cosy. All the staff are friendly, changing facilities have lots of amenities (hairdryer, straighteners, face cleanser, etc).
The afternoon tea is definitely worth having if you’re there during the day - the options are swapped out each season (at Christmas there was a mini snowman tart for example) but you get a plate of scones, a savoury plate (sandwiches, tart, quiche or a sausage roll) and a sweet plate of cakes/desserts. It is a fair amount of food but you can ask to bring anything you can’t eat home with you.
If you can go for a treatment then it’s definitely worth it - the therapists are amazing (I’ve had Katie a couple of times, Vio and Jess) they talk you through everything to make sure you’re comfortable and are happy to adjust if needed.
They use all in house brand products so anything you like you can buy if you want to but there’s no pressure to if you don’t.

If you want somewhere to just relax then I would recommend taking a trip.

Gaia spa is what relaxation is about everything is just so lovely. The pool, steam room and sauna are fab. Love love love the heated stone beds!! The jest are really powerful and there are so many you can always fine a free one. The sun loungers are great for chilling outside if the weather allows it.
The treatments are a real treat and the the relaxation room after is awesome. The gym is well equipped and the place is spotless always clean. The changing rooms have everything you could need or want and again really clean and not to warm either.

Had a great experience here today. A nice selection of steam rooms and saunas, lovely design to the place as well, I particularly like the natural wooden table and desk in the reception area. Massages were top notch and very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful as well.

A real mother's day treat to spend the day here. Helpful, pleasant, attentive staff. Swimming pool, saunas and relaxing spa facilities. Enjoyed both the brunch and champagne cream tea. Wonderful massage from Gosha using gaia products. Well worth a visit if you want to spend a relaxing day.

Returned 3 years later and experienced the same service and facilities.

We stayed at Boringdon for a spa weekend break recently. While the treatment we had was very good (and the hotel itself was also good with brilliant food) I struggle to recommend the spa as it was SO busy.

Not only did none of the men’s lockers have a full set of towel/robe/flip flops in them, there was nowhere to hang your robe within the spa as all the hangers and all the seats were taken for the majority of the day - we came back a number of times throughout the day and it was consistently as busy. The spa itself is nice, but with the number of people they allow in at any one time, it feels more like a leisure centre than a relaxing spa (which you wouldn’t expect for the price, particularly compared to other spas which operate a fixed time period per visit, for example)

I get that they need to make money, and interestingly their “spa membership” is now on a wait list, however it’s not great overall value, hence the 2*
