-Pleasant surprises at every turn
-Pictures do not do it justice
-“Above and beyond” service: Hosts made dinner reservations for us at a place with live music (on a Friday night)
- Hosts provided advice, directions, conversation, breakfast—even though we left at 5:59 am!
-Bucolic location; bunny filled garden
-Comfy bed/ room
-Warning: This is not a place for people who ONLY like new, sexy, sheik, trendy places.
-It is a beautiful and interesting time capsule with attentive hosts who know fine living and are sharing that experience of old-world elegance with guests

Overall pleasant very quiet stay. Hosts very nice and very helpful getting taxi to our wedding venue. Manor somewhat dated to keep its charm as an old Manor House. Room very large and had somewhat dated ornaments!! Found the hallways dark and I personally felt a little spooked going to the loo at 3 am!!!! No en suite as bathroom outside room !!! Overall clean, although bed linen dated but clean. Mattress does need renewing although it was ok. Breakfast adequate and beverages served by host who was charming. Talked about history of the house which was interesting. Very, very quiet location, could hear a pin drop at night. Would I stay again? possibly not but an experience and nice Hosts.

🙂 Beautiful driveway leading to a lovely Manor House. The two lovely public rooms at the front of the house were beautifully decorated with period furniture and artifacts suitable to the age of the building. Fabulous location to explore the North Coast and surrounding area. Good wifi available in bedroom.|:( ROOM|On arrival we were NOT shown to the 2 Bedroom Suite we had booked and paid our deposit for. Excuse given that the door of the Suite required to be painted. Our new room was cheaper but no refund offered! My companion slept on the 'day' bed (not a sofabed) and was unable to stretch out fully as it was too short.|The bedding and towels were old and tired. There were no Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room as expected. Excuse - there was a cream carpet! |Also not in the room as stated were bath robes or hairdryer.|You shouldn't need to ask for the basics which are advertised as being available in the room and dare I say, loo paper too when it ran out. If bins were emptied, this would have been noticed.|Breakfast was adequate although with little choice. No poached eggs .Excuse - the poacher was broken.|OVERALL|Foreign visitors may see this b&b as quaint but to a visitor from the UK, it's nothing but shabby and run down.

We stayed for one night at Gardenvale on our trip around Ireland - the hosts were very friendly and only to happy to chat about the history of the house. I personally love these huge old houses - so much character. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, located just down to hallway, was also very clean with a super modern shower. There are no ensuites in the house (as advertised) as the owners have retained the house as it was originally, but you do have a bathroom allocated speciafically for your own use. ||Wifi available in a room downstairs but not in your room - not a problem for us.||The location was beautiful and very, very peaceful. There is nothing in walking distance to the house due to its location, but it wasn't a problem for us driving to one of the towns nearby.||Breakfast was very nice - a good choice of continental/cereals etc.||Thank you.

I realise an old house with high ceilings is hard to heat, but if you have paying guests the temperature should be at a level that they find it a pleasure to be there not a experience where you have to wear your coat in the room. The bed linen was disgusting, thread bear and did not smell fresh. The decor was not to my liking (each to their own) and not in keeping with the outside style of the house, with a simple refurbishment this house could be stunning. The breakfast was fine but maralade in plastic containers, why not buy locally homemade and put it in a pot! The Christmas decor in February shows lack of attention to detail. Not a pleasant experience I wish we had stayed at home, a waste of money.

Immediately fell in love with this place when drove up to the front door and noticed pretty little wild bunnies hopping happily on the lawn. ||||We received a friendly welcome from Charlie, who showed us to the entire wing we had been allocated! This comprised of two bedrooms and a bathroom all beautifully decorated in a quirky, imaginative style. ||||After a fantastic night’s sleep in The tranquility of the countryside, we were served a continental breakfast with no fewer than 3 choices of non-dairy milk for our vegan requirements! Charlie had also provided freshly picked fruits from the garden, which were absolutely delicious! ||||Although the location seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, we discovered that it is a stone’s throw from The Dark Hedges and only 20 minutes drive from the Causeway Coast. ||||We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay and we will definitely return if we get the chance!

Support service, had a hard time finding it and they met us to bring us the last leg. Upgraded our room. Breakfast room was beautiful. Meal scrumptious, and hosts helpful and attentive. Room very comfortable. Could use more counter space and power outlets, but’s that systemic in Ireland. Still highly Recommended!

Set in beautiful grounds and good location. ||Downside is the B&B is run down and in need of updating. We paid the higher price to stay in the garden view room with ensuite bathroom but were given a different room instead. The room we had to stay in was cheaper but no refund was given. There was broken glass in one of the windows. There was condensation each morning and the windows couldn't be opened for ventilation. ||There were no tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer or bathrobes in room though all were listed on the website. We lived out of our suitcase as there were no hangers in the closet. Next to our bathroom there were cupboards and drawers but we could not use them as they were full of clothing.. Our room had a double bed and a small day bed to sleep on. I chose to take the day bed while my friend had the double. I had to stick my legs through the bars of the day bed as it's too small to stretch out on. The room was clean but shabby.||Our bathroom was out in the hallway. The towels were miss matched and past their best. The hall lights were to be left switched off at night which meant we had to use a torch when going to the toilet during the night. ||Breakfast at the B&B was ok. A choice of cereal and fruit was always on the table and another for bread and pancakes with a toaster to make your own toast. No menu for choice on cooked breakfast but the owner would try to make anything that was asked for. ||For the money people are paying to stay here, updating is needed.
