Lovely b+b, friendly hosts and Gayton bed and breakfast is located 5 minutes on the train from Birmingham Airport. The room was large and bright with a comfy bed and there is a pub and sandwich shop close by too for meals out. Perfect if you need airport accommodation but don't want to be in Birmingham City or stay at the airport itself.

My friend and I stayed here for 1 night as we had an exhibition at the NEC. The location is great as it’s only a short walk from the train station. We were greeted by a lovely couple who were both friendly and hospitable and the room was very clean and cosy. We had an early breakfast as we had a train to catch which was no problem and food was very good and set us up well for our journey home. Having never travelled to Birmingham before I’d highly recommend Gayton B&B for its ease of access to train stations and it’s lovely hosts. ☺️

I have written a review here before I’m fairly sure, but thought it was time for an updated one. ||We stay with John and Kim every year for Crufts and every year is a pleasure, we always look forward to our stay at Gayton. We always receive a cheery welcome, a lovely cup of tea and a good chat. Room is cosy and warm and we always sleep well after long busy days.. and no offence is taken if we scuttle off like hermits because we are so exhausted!! We look forward to breakfast every year, always extremely tasty. Always clean and very homely. John is flexible with the times we arrive which is great as you can never judge the traffic leaving the NEC, and we stay later at the venue on the Sunday which is never a problem. This year they were particularly helpful in ensuring our prompt early departure on Monday morning when I suddenly realised I had clients to get back too that I should really have cancelled.. lesson learnt for next year! ||Thank you John and Kim, we’ll see you next year! Can’t wait!||Kate & Bev

John & Kim were very welcoming - including getting us a cup of tea as soon as we got there! They had contacted us earlier in the day to confirm our time of arrival. It was easy to find and very close to somewhere good to eat. Only around 5 mins from where we wanted to be the following morning so position was excellent. Bed was comfortable, room was large and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Breakfast room was light and airy. We hadn't realised it was not en suite when we booked, but it wasn't a problem. We were the only guests as it happens but I don't suppose it would be a problem anyway with the other two rooms occupied as well. The bonus was that just up the road (well 8 mins walk away) was the White Lion Public House & Restaurant and this was excellent too. We will definitely be booking up this B & B again, it met all our needs.

Lovely home/ b&b, extremely clean and tidy with kind welcoming owners who did not 'over host'. We'd had a very long day and where welcomed, shown straight to our room and left to our own devices, we were offered to go and use the lounge downstairs but we were so tired we headed straight to bed. Breakfast was served Bang on the nail when we asked for it at 7.30am and it was really really tasty, perfectly cooked. Room was cosy and bed was comfortable. House was nice, warm and peaceful. Thank you for a lovely stay, we'll see you next year!!!!

John and Kim greeted me with a cup of tea and chat in the kitchen. Good old fashioned hospitality and tasty breakfast. The decor is somewhat 1980s but that didn't matter to me.||||The location of the B&B is outstanding. Just two mins walk to the station [and they kindly said that I could leave my car outside of their house] from where trains to New St take just 19 mins. Handy for the motorways too as well as NEC and airport and just a short walk to the White Lion for dinner. And all this in a village location.||||Thanks!

We had a really lovely stay at Gayton B&B in August 2022. Stayed just the one night, three friends in the three rooms.||||The accommodation was great, the bed was firm but comfy and the breakfast we had in the morning was very good.||||Kim and John were very welcoming and chatty, and were really helpful, providing information, a place for us to keep our cases until we could go and coffee and just made our stay very easy and relaxed. ||||The house is just a stone throw from the train station, and trains are regular in and out of Birmingham.||||All in all it was great value for money and I would recommend it.

Stayed for 2 nights for an event at the NEC. Very close to train station and only a 3 minute trip to NEC. John and Kim are very welcoming and have a lovely home. Room warm, comfy bed, tea/coffee, tv. Breakfast filling and tasty. We would definitely return.
