This was a perfect stay for our trip to York. The Georgian House is in the perfect location to explore the atrractions of York, just a short stroll from the Minster. We had a very friendly greeting on arrival and our double room was spotless, comfy bed and the bathroom had both a bath and shower. Tea & Coffee in the room also. We had breakfast on one of the days we stayed and this was very good and fresh. Would def recommend the Georgian House for a visit to York it ticked all the boxes for us

I'm so glad I chose the Georgian House & Mews for my midweek visit to York. From my initial enquiry, through to my check out, every member of staff I encountered was helpful and attentive. I had made a special request on booking, which was dealt with immediately I checked in. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. All of this within a few minutes walk of the city centre and all it's attractions. I have already recommended the hotel to friends and work colleagues, and hope to return myself, as there's so much to see and do in York.

Friendly welcome on arrival. Room very clean. Bed comfortable but small. Breakfast excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. Hotel less than 10 minutes walk from Minster and Shambles. 10 minutes walk from rail station. Excellent would visit again

My husband and I were delighted with the hotel we chose for our 2 night trip to York. We were within sight of one of the gates into the city walls so it was super-handy for getting to any of the places we wanted to visit. We had booked through Travelzoo so not only did we pay a reasonable price, we also got a bottle of Prosecco in our room and a complimentary cream tea on our first afternoon. Such a treat! Ryan the receptionist/cook/bit of everything, welcomed us warmly and cooked a superb 'Full English' on our first morning, the manager of the hotel cooked for us on the second morning, which was equally delicious I believe. I opted for the continental breakfast, which I enjoyed. Polly, who served the food, couldn't have been nicer. ||Our room was perfect for us, with a very comfy double bed, ensuite with a very good hot shower, TV and tea and coffee provided. We enjoyed staying in what is obviously a very old building with squinty bits and character, but is finished to a very high standard. We will definitely book in again for any future visits to the beautiful city of York.

5* all the way. Fantastic location, everything on your doorstep. Lovely, friendly people. Excellent breakfast. Very clean rooms. Couldn't ask for any more. If you are stuck for anywhere to stay in York I highly recommend the Georgian House.

Comfortable room in central York with great manager, lovely staff and delicious breakfast.|Very clean room with comfortable beds and nice bedding.|Good shower, fluffy towels and spotlessly clean bathroom. |Extra touch was a welcome small bottle of Prosecco in the room.|Great choice of breakfast - we had full English which was plentiful and delicious. |Despite being near a busy road we couldn't hear a thing and had a lovely quiet night's sleep. |Cannot recommend this place enough.|We will definitely return.

Great guest house, the room (no 12) on the ground floor was modern with a great shower, very clean and surprisingly quiet. We had a fab sleep. Stayed a few times over the years and will definitely return again on our next visit to York

Great place to stay in York. Really friendly staff, great room at the back of the house, nice beds, good roomy shower, spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fabulous, set us up for the day. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes walk to the minster and the city centre. We will definitely be back again for a visit in the future.
