Very friendly staff both at the hotel and restaurant side created a good atmosphere during our stay
Rooms, location, dinner and breakfast were all exemplary.
After our stay, we forgot a small piece of luggage at the hotel and staff was very helpful in getting it returned to us as well.

Had Sunday lunch today. We regularly visit when my Mum is in town. She is a wheelchair user and staff always make it easy and a stress free experience which means a lot to her.
Today we were served by Noah who was attentive, friendly and really helpful. Mum asked for a change to her beef and they immediately accommodated her and gave us free mince pies
A really lovely experience. Thank you!

Very pleasant stay. Well stocked and served. Water is extremely hot, so be careful with children. Beds are very very soft if that suits you, good. A little too soft for me. Very nice breakfast served to order. Very lovely staff.

What a gem of a hotel. Beautiful room with lots of extra treats in! Comfy bed & the staff so helpful & polite. The breakfasts were amazing with plenty of choice. Just a short walk in to the city. Would definitely return with added benefit of restaurant & pudding on site

Had dinner with 5 friends tonight. Food was lovely but the service let the place down massively. The starters were bought out promptly and were delicious. The main courses came in good time but the cutlery had been used with the starters so we had to go and find someone to get something to eat with ! We also asked for ketchup and mayonnaise as a few of us had the burgers. We had to ask a further 2 times, both times going to find a member of staff. The whole time we were there we were never asked if we needed anything or any drinks were required. Once we finished and our plates were cleared we all decided we would like deserts. There were no menus on the table and no staff to be seen. We waited 45 minutes and no staff came near us to either ask if we wanted desert or if we needed the bill. In the end we got the bill, paid and left. All of this sounds petty but when you are expecting table service it’s disappointing. The staff that were there all looked very uninterested and some looked almost scruffy. It’s such a shame as it’s a lovely restaurant being let down by lazy staff with a lack of management. We won’t be returning.

Oh dear. Totally underwhelmed. Popped in for Sunday lunch which amounted to 2 half potatoes, a carrot, half a parsnip and some greens swimming in watery gravy. What was supposed to be pork was largely fat and inedible. This cost £19. My daughter, a vegetarian, ordered the cauliflower steak which was in fact a slice of cauliflower, this was only £17 as the Yorkshire pudding was absent from the plate.
No sauces offered. Very disappointed. Will not visit again. If I was able would offer the picture I took of this utterly awful meal

We stayed here off the back of a recommendation from one of our daughter’s Uni friends. We booked bed & breakfast in a cosy room. The room, despite its name, was well appointed with plenty of space and good storage and very importantly clean. We loved the decor which gave the room a cosy feel. The bed was very comfortable. The fridge is a very useful addition and the fresh milk was appreciated. The location of the hotel is fantastic and only took us 5 minutes or so to walk through the park across the road to the market area of the city. The hotel is located on a busy road and we had a front room but we weren’t impacted by traffic noise, even with our window open. We arrived early on Saturday afternoon and even though there was a wedding, we still got a car park and parking wasn’t an issue at all over the weekend. We are big fans of breakfast/brunch so it was definitely going to make or break our stay! We were not disappointed. The breakfast is superb. The menu has a fantastic range of options catering for all diets and the staff checked with us at each sitting if we had any allergies (we don’t!). Our daughter joined us for breakfast and we all thoroughly enjoyed what we had. The staff in the dining room were friendly and attentive (checking with us that all was ok with our food) without being overbearing. In fact, all the staff we came across in the hotel were friendly. We will definitely stay here again and look forward to our next trip to Norwich.

Don't really like leaving reviews but we booked in with a large group and the overall experience was really poor. We were made to pay up front with a service charge and then they didn't have any of the deserts we ordered available. Most of the food that was served was expensive and small portions (curry for £26 didn't even come with rice!). Didn't feel we were well looked after considering we were paying minimum of £500 for the room. I really wouldn't bother eating here and look for somewhere else.
