Perfect! This was the second time we have eaten there and we'll definitely be back. Not the nearest place for us to go for a meal but well worth travelling to. The staff are so pleasant and helpful, we highly recommend. Very clean, in fact spotless. I'm disabled and this lovely place definitely caters for disabled travellers. Food delicious and not over priced at all. Quality is excellent. This is now our place to go to, thank you to all the staff.

I've past this place many times going to the Lake District🏍️ & always thought about stopping but never did.
This time I had friends visiting me & i was showing them the sights & decided to take them there for Sunday lunch.

What a lovely place !
The Staff were friendly & a nice calm atmosphere.
We all had a Sunday Roast & you definitely get big portions.

Nice veriety on the menu & the only reason we didn't have pudding was that we were well & truly full.

I would highly recommend anyone to visit & I will definitely be going back πŸοΈπŸ‘

Bathroom had not been cleaned properly with the drain being full of several days/weeks of hair.Pillows flat not very comfy at all. Lots of noise in evening think maybe local meet place? Food was ok. Basic i personally would not stay again. I won't add photo as problem resolved quickly but felt ruined my stay.

Good traditonal pub, resturant and hotel. Good food and service in a great position with rural views and close to the Lake District. Rooms appear freshly decorated, clean and bright. The only thing for us which stopped it being 5 star was the lack of a hair dryer and little clothes storage in the rooms. Our room, The Shire, had plenty of space so a low 2 draw unit wide enough to put our case on and with a hairdryer in the top draw would have made all the difference. Would we visit again? definitely!

Didn't stay here.
But went for a meal. I had the Fish and chips. Very nice indeed. My partner had the steak, was perfectly cooked to medium. Served with cherry tomatoes on the vine and peppercorn sauce.
Deserts are excellent aswell, I indulged in a Lemon Meringue pie with ice cream.
Reasonable prices and great service!

Went for a family meal, was a lovely atmosphere and brilliant food. The menu is great with a huge selection to choose from including some unique dishes. Unfortunately a bit on the pricier side though for what you get and food did slightly taste like it had been sat for a while under a heat lamp but either way it was lovely and would definitely come again. Was surprised to find out that the chocolate fudge cake is served cold without any chocolate sauce. The staff are absolutely lovely and there wasn't any rowdiness from other customers

The wife with her dietary requirements. Debbie and the chef were more than happy to sort quality food at short notice. Thank you all, Hope you go from strength to strength you deserve it,
