The beef Wellington was simply the best we've ever tasted - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Dessert was a showstopper, leaving our guests raving.

Their creativity shone through in the afternoon tea-themed cocktail hour, adding a charming touch to our celebration. The late-night snacks were a hit, keeping the party going with delicious bites. Sally and the team at Ginger Catering created a bespoke seating sharing style menu for our wedding at Somerley Woodland. I can well see why Ginger Catering are recommended caterers for Somerley, they provide a faultless first class service.

The food was absolutely delicious, plentiful, and so beautifully presented. We had so many comments from our guests on how amazing the food was, meat eaters, vegetarians & vegans alike.

I had every confidence in Ginger Catering, from our guests arriving & being greeted with a drink at the reception bar prior to the ceremony to the clearing of tables & alcohol when the evening bar opened, the day ran so smoothly. They are doing so much behind the scenes that you don’t even notice to ensure a flawless service which gave me every confidence & also the opportunity to relax not only on the day but also the lead up to the wedding knowing that everything was in hand.

We also had a fantastic experience when Sally invited us for our menu tasting, we were absolutely blown away by the food & couldn’t believe how amazing it all was. The best food we have ever tasted!

Throughout the planning process Sally patiently answered my never-ending questions, including advice on timings for the day & drink quantity recommendations. On the day, everything was served on time, piping hot, and by amazing staff. When asked nothing was too much trouble & brought to the table quickly.

We engaged Ginger Catering for our wedding, based on their recommendation by the venue. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by unprofessionalism and unexpected cost increases.

Initially, our interactions with Ginger Catering were positive. We finalized the menu over several phone calls, and after a successful tasting session, we felt confident in their abilities. However, our optimism quickly waned when we received a revised quote that had increased by over 25%, despite no changes in our requirements or guest numbers.

When questioned, Ginger Catering attributed the price hike to post-lockdown cost escalations, which we found unsatisfactory. Given that our wedding was scheduled for September 2022 and the original quote was provided in March 2021, we expected Ginger Catering to anticipate and account for potential inflationary impacts in their initial pricing.

Furthermore, as a recommended catering company by the venue, we assumed Ginger Catering would possess a thorough understanding of the venue's facilities and operational requirements. However, their belated realization of the need for additional kitchen equipment reflected a lack of foresight and professionalism.

The sudden increase in pricing, coupled with poor communication and lack of transparency, has left us deeply disappointed. We urge Ginger Catering to reevaluate their pricing policies and communication practices to ensure a better experience for future clients.

Overall, our experience with Ginger Catering fell short of expectations, and we cannot recommend their services to others.

I crossed paths with your catering service at a Christmas party recently. I thought your food was amazing and the variety that I got to eat was divine. The Pea and Goat cheese balls (or Arrancini?) and your mini burgers were my fav of the night. The little Cinnamon and Apple cones were a delight to have after the savoury.

I also want to say that your staff that evening were outstanding. Friendly, attentive and very helpful.
