Wow, where to start… Mike catered for our 3-day wedding weekend and delivered more than we’d ever envisaged!

First up on the Friday night, was the grazing board of DREAMS! An absolute feast - our guests raved about this and everyone kept saying although they were eating it, it still didn’t look like it had been touched, as it was about 3-layers deep. The presentation was incredible and it was definitely a show stopper!

Next up, the wedding day! From the canapés to the 3-course wedding breakfast & late night food, everything was amazing! The pea & mint canapés especially received standout reviews. Mike also cooked about 60+ steaks himself! Followed by late night pizzas which were also delicious.

Finally, the Sunday BBQ - again, the most amazing spread of burgers, salads and grilled vegetable's. The potato salad was a big hit!

Nothing was too much trouble for Mike and he went above and beyond for us across the wedding weekend. He also had a great team of waiters on the Wedding day too!

He was also great at communicating, was punctual, on time and helped organise everything - from cutlery to teas & coffees!

Absolutely 5* amazing high quality food! We had Mike cater for our wedding 03/08/2024, he did a 3 course wedding breakfast, with multiple options per course and every single dish looked incredible. At night time we had kebabs again Mike did a selection of chicken, lamb and halloumi catering for all, every single person has mentioned how incredible the food was and we can’t thank you enough, on top of this, Mike is just such a lovely helpful guy. Couldn’t have struck luckier having him cater for our day. Thanks a million!!! Mr & Mrs Shaw!!

If anyone is thinking about booking Gingernut catering for their event, DO IT!! Myself and my husband booked Mike for wedding on 19th August 2023 and we have nothing but good words to say about the food and service we received.

Mike and the Gingernut team, THANK YOU for providing us with the most amazing wedding food we could have ever asked for - I know we are going to be biased, but definitely the best wedding food we have ever had!! The catering for us was such an important part of our day and we cannot thank Mike enough for all that he did for us.

Communication with Mike from when we first got in touch was super easy - nothing was too much trouble and he was happy to cater for what we wanted for our day.

Mike catered for our entire wedding day - canapés, wedding breakfast and evening food. Our wedding party of 110 people in the day and 130 people in the evening were extremely happy after having Mikes food - we have nothing but gleaming reviews from our guests, they (and we) couldn’t fault anything at all.

The portions were generous sizes, everything was beautifully presented, and everything tasted absolutely delicious - hats off to Mike for the amount of skill and detail he provided to each course.

Mike also provided waiter service - what an amazing team of people! The food came out on time, the waiters were absolutely lovely and as with mikes food, their attention to detail was perfect.

Mike, from the bottom of our hearts - thank you so much. You were a massive part of our day and we are so grateful for you and for your amazing talent. We will recommend you for the rest of our lives.

If I could select 10 stars I would. Mike catered our entire three day wedding weekend which included a variety of meals in addition to the big Wedding Breakfast.

Mike is an absolute cuisine machine. Cooking up everything from charcuterie boards (with beautiful presentation), to delicious appetisers and perfectly cooked steaks for 75+ guests for the Wedding Breakfast - through to late night pizza and Sunday’s barbecue food. No plates were left unfinished.

I cannot recommend Mike and his team enough, he was a pleasure to deal with and highly accommodating.

Thank you again for everything this past weekend Mike, you made our wedding cuisine exactly how we imagined and more. 🙌

The catering for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding was nothing short of amazing. Delicious food , great presentation and served to impress. Prior to the wedding we had platters, which included an excellent range of foods, catering for all tastes and looking irresistible. All three courses of the wedding breakfast were incredible, especially the chocolate tart to finish ☺️. The day after the wedding, a barbeque was provided. Yet again, a perfect variety of food. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gingernut Catering! You will not be disappointed!

We hired Mike for our relaxed tipi wedding in the North East this September, and I honestly couldn't believe how amazing he, his food and his staff was. Everything ran so smoothly and Mike went above and beyond, always checking that everything was okay and we were happy. The food was unreal. My main regret from the day is that I was so busy getting photos done that I didn't manage to have any of the Spanish grazing boards. There was more than enough food with a range to make sure everyone was happy. I still crave the kebabs that he did on the night. Please tell me your secrets Mike! We couldn't thank him enough and if we did it all again we wouldn't change a thing. Thanks Mike, Dan and Alice xx

10/10. Mike was great, helping me organise a private dining party for my best friends hen do. He worked with me to create the perfect menu, which was a mix of Tapas with an Italian theme of 3 courses. The food was incredible and all 12 of us really enjoyed it with plenty of food leftover. He catered for Gluten free and allergies the group had.
He came to the house that we were renting, bought everything with him. He needed, set up prepared served and tidied up. Mike went above and beyond to make the evening great! Couldn’t recommend them enough, definitely book if you’re thinking about it, you’re in for a treat!

They provided us with a buffet for a family party (for 35 people) at our home. We have never had such good buffet food. So tasty, great selection and everything was beautifully presented and of such good quality. Mike was really easy to deal with, really helpful, and we felt it was great value. We will definitely to use Gingernut every time going forwards for any catering and private dining requirements; can't recommend them highly enough.
