Absolutely great hotel. Stayed for a single night for our anniversary.
Room was spotlessly clean, nice and airy with a lovely view.
Dinner was superb, and so was breakfast. Bar was very well stocked.
The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.
Can throughly recommend, we will be going back soon.

This is a lovely hotel and once in the building everything is accessible. My wife is a wheelcahir user and there is an accessible enrance but you need a member of staff to let you in or out. My wife can walk a little so that was easier. We had afternoon tea which was excellent. We also had dinner one night where both the food and the wine was excellent as well. It's a big building so the wifi was slow but it did work. The bedroom was very comfortable. Service was very good and friendly. The breakfasts let the hotel down. Although cooked for you it was cold on both days and the staff seemed to forget us on the second day. This was a shame and when I mentioned it at the reception on checking out I was met with doubt not an apology. However it is a very good hotel and a nice play to stay in a beautiful part of the world

Our small, intimate wedding took place on the 9th of December. 2024. It was amazing, in part due to the beautiful venue but also because of the care and attention from all the staff at Gisborough Hall.|My husband and I wanted to thank everyone at Gisborough Hall; their professionalism, knowledge and attention to detail was exceptional. ||There were so many people involved and the names noted here are by no means the only people who made our time both before and after the wedding so special. The events staff, Bethany, Emily and Adele, (apologies I think I have missed some names), all helped me with planning, guiding me through problems with guests cancelling for a variety of reasons, terminal illnesses and problems after the storm, all of which I was finding really difficult to manage. They were calm and reassuring. ||Mark kindly helped me decorate the reception rooms and assisted me with the last minute decoration of my wedding cake. Mark has a really caring and calming disposition, encouraging me to eat something when he noticed I had not eaten all day. He supervised the ceremony impeccably and seamlessly oversaw the serving of Afternoon Tea and the Formal Dinner. He was friendly and professional at all times. My guests were certainly impressed Also a mention for the young waiters/waitresses and reception staff who were friendly, efficient and kind. The charming domestic staff also came to the room to check I had everything I needed. ||I didn't have the opportunity to speak to the kitchen staff or the chef but they should be praised too, both for the excellent presentation and standard of the food. Sadly I lost my appetite due to wedding excitement but always felt totally confident that great care had been taken to prepare the gluten free food for me as I am Coeliac.|My guests were certainly impressed.||The complimentary room was a real bonus, it was fabulous; it had a wonderful view and a four poster bed! A perfect place to prepare for the wedding and to relax afterwards. ||Gisborough Hall has assembled an incredibly effective events team and staff. They provided a service which made our special day truly unforgettable.||We look forward to dining at Gisborough Hall again soon and hopefully spending our first anniversary in The Rose Room in 2025.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. The log fire was burning as we walked in. Our room was lovely and spacious with a nice large bathroom and comfy bed. The dinner in Chalone restaurant was great and the breakfast was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We came here specifically for the afternoon tea and it was well worth it! Honestly, a lot of food🙈 but we didn’t mind at all)

We came as couples so ordered Traditional and Savoury afternoon tea per couple (each is for £32 per person). I’d suggest to do that, so that you can try all the dishes. As far as I remember there was also an option of Prosecco and Champagne addition for 39 and 45£ accordingly.

It takes place in the Drawing Room, daily, from 1pm – 4pm Monday to Saturday and 2.30pm – 4.30pm Sunday.

Our first visit to Gisborough Hall to celebrate New Year with friends and it didn't disappoint. Excellent evening, very friendly and efficient staff. It's a very well run hotel. The band at New Year was first class. Our only criticism would be the dinner on New Year's Eve. It was quite disappointing which is a shame. Appreciate it was a large gathering but it just didn't deliver. Otherwise all the meals we had were very good.

Went for Sunday lunch. Not cheap but expected it to be top notch for wife's birthday. Not so. The service was like a comedy sketch. The food was mediocre. £55 bottle of wine was aweful. Bill was wrong and had to point it out to them. Definitely will not be going again, there are much better dining experiences around this area.

Last minute booking, handled with ease.|Quality of evening meal as very good, even the vegetables were fresh and tender. Salad was healthy and wholesome. I loved all of the public rooms and the set up of the hotel! It’s so old worldly, even saw Lord Gisborough going about his morning.|The value for money was very good. Would love to have stayed longer. 100% recommend.
