We booked this site as it was close to where our caravan was serviced and enabled us to have a few days away.|The website makes the facilities look good but my guess is the pictures are a few years old.|Currently the site is 40-50 percent used by permanent caravans and motorhomes and I don't mean seasonal pitches, more like a trailer park where residents live permanently and are on their way to work early doors. This meant the site had no "holiday buzz" as you might get elsewhere. There are at least 3 business premises on the site also detracting from the holiday vibe.|The facilities were OK if a little tired but we only ever showered with crocs on, no bare feet on the muddy floors for us. Cheekily we had to pay 50p per shower on a site that charges £34 a night, taking the mickey a bit there.|This is a family site, quiet when we went as the schools had just gone back but from other pictures on TripAdvisor its busy busy during school holidays. ||The site is also right under the Gatwick flight path, not a problem for us as we like planes and aviation, but be aware.||Overall a disappointing stay, we would not return and it confirms our preference for well kept adult only sites.

We stayed in the Pathfinder pod at the end of August. It was a quiet time at the site and we had a great experience. The flight path overhead didn't bother us (we live under a flight path too, so we don't even notice). The shower block is comfortable and very clean and, as it was quiet, we had no trouble getting a spot. However, the pods are expensive and paying an extra 50p for the shower seems stingy - they should be giving customers tokens (hence 4*). It was great having a picnic table and a couple of chairs, as well as a fridge and a kettle. The site itself is very well maintained and organised and feels very safe. We'll be back

We are just on our second night of 2, thank goodness we are leaving tomorrow. The site is tatty and very run down, lorries, vans and all sorts on site. Not a nice atmosphere. It wasn’t cheap to stay here and I resented having to pay 50p extra to use the showers. |We were on Meadow field which is predominantly used by large tents right next to each other. The noise was horrific. Adults and kids screaming all day and well into the evening not to mention the planes coming over every few minutes, they didn’t even stop overnight. Why oh why do they not put tents and caravans/motorhomes in different fields? |Only good thing is that the site is near to Lingfield racecourse which is what we came for. Even the location couldn’t change the fact that we won’t come again!

So far I am struggling to ever wonder why people would come here for a holiday. We stayed in the hayfields, £58 for two nights. No electric, right over a flight path which keeps you up all night. ||There’s no toilet block or portaloos in the hayfields so you’re forced to walk a good 5 minutes to the block in the night, the stalls are set up with showers in them and the nearest block to us only had 3.. meaning if someone is taking a 10 minute shower the toilets are out of action. On top of this 50p a time for a shower, which whilst isn’t expensive, for a non electric grass pitch in a field you’d expect this included. ||Pitches were allocated in the email and upon arrival it was a free for all meaning we had to share close by to our friends. ||On top of the plane noise it’s next to a busy road, not a relaxing site and not one I’d ever stay at again. Much better value elsewhere.

The communication from Kelly on booking was brilliant we secured 2 side by side pitches in the Pines,|The pitch size was ample, and only 8 in this part not busy and no through traffic.|Toilets/showers are modern and were close by, extremely well organised 50p for showers but nice snd hot and 12 mins so more than enough.|They were kept very clean throughout, really friendly at reception and helpful with directions of the area.|Food van was a Lovely touch we had pizza on Sat Eve which were delicious, loads of seating and loads of other food on offer including veggie options for us!|The site is on the flight path to incoming planes to Gatwick and they are frequent!|However after 24hrs you acclimatise and they didnt bother us, you can hear them at night if you are a light sleeper.|Would we go back? Yes definitely really good place and reasonable pricing, we even got late check out Sunday for free!

What a wonderful site! As soon as I arrived I was greeted with a smile and given exceptional customer service from the get go!.||My first time visiting this site and I cannot wait to come back!.||There is the moving teapot where you can unwind and have a tea or coffee and a refreshing drink.||The site itself is wonderful. So much room! Very spacious and generous pitches both electric & non.||Really enjoyed the walk down to the back of the site down to the pond passing the tea peas on the way down and the log cabins of a tent or caravan isn’t for you.||This site has an amazing access point to the motorway which is very handy in itself.||I really liked the fact the this site look after there showers and toilets. I really enjoyed the showers and the power of them. You leave them feeling so refreshed, especially comparing to some sites I’ve stayed at in the past.||As I said this was my first time staying but I can promise it certainly will be not my last! I can’t wait to return for another relaxing weekend.||Thanks to all staff for your help & generosity.||Kind regards,| Antonio Montana

Cedar Pod was very clean and met our needs very well. We took additional camping chairs to add to the two already there and the covered verandah was big enough for all 4 (we had family elsewhere in the campsite). Table and benches great for all meals and we used a gas safari chef for breakfast and charcoal bbq for evenings - plenty of room and no problems with the strict rule about keeping them well off the ground. Facilities clean, worked well and conveniently located. At peak early morning time a short queue for shower. Used the caravan cafe near the gate twice for takeaways - very good but preordering a good idea as it is popular. The site filled up at the weekend - a lovely family and friends feel to the place. The quiet time curfew was complied with scrupulously which was fantastic. We will be back

We had a great bank holiday weekend at Long Acres. The campsite had a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and really helpful. The places for tents are set amongst a meadow of wild flowers. Beautiful! There is a very nice pub a short walk away through the fields. The catering van on the campsite did great food as well.
