We stayed for two nights in late August and used the B&B as a base for touring Doune Castle, which is within easy walking distance of the B&B, and for driving to nearby Stirling Castle, Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Center and Wallace Monument. The B&B and its garden were lovely and quiet. Our hostess Lynda was welcoming and a pleasure to talk with. What set the B&B apart from other lovely B&Bs and small hotels in which we stayed during our three-week trip through the Highlands was breakfast. Lynda's breakfasts were by far the best, highlighted by a pitcher of fresh orange juice and beautiful plates of fruit each morning, along with the other usual options that seem to be on every breakfast menu in the Highlands. For lunch, Duone has a good café within walking distance of the B&B. For dinner, we found good options in towns within 15 minutes driving time. ||Lynda's hospitality was exceptional! She even dried my wet laundry for me while we were out touring for the day. I can't say enough good things about this B and B.

There's little to be said - all the superlatives are true - about Lynda and this wonderful b&b. We travelled from Edinburgh to Stirling, explored the castle there and then wanted to stay "out of town" - which this clearly was. As noted in all the reviews, the food was amazing, the rooms beautiful, a bottle of whisky was waiting on the table in the lovely sitting room and the breakfast was terrific. And the outside gardens were delightful. We almost skipped Doune Castle - which would have been a big mistake, as it turned out to be one of our favorites. Who doesn't love a castle tour narrated by actors from Monty Python and Outlander! The only warning I would have is - eat an early dinner in Stirling before arriving at Glenardoch - or be prepared to drive back to Stirling - there's only a pub or two in Doune - and they are not very good.

We recently spent 2 nights at this lovely B&B and wish we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and has everything you need. The beautiful garden area is so peaceful and calming. Better yet are the hosts - they are very welcoming and gracious. We highly recommend Glenardoch House and hope to return soon.

A very warm welcome by Lynda was the start for a formidable experience. Every detail was perfect, even the soaps in the bathroom where of exceptional quality. What remains though is the hospitality and enthousiasm of our hostess and her husband. Even though we staid for only one night, we had the feeling we were regular customers and big spenders. Fantastic...so once again...where can I select the six star rating.

If I could give more than 5 stars for this B&B I would!! This was by far the best B&B we stayed at for our time in Scotland. I wish we could of stayed longer. Lynda has the most beautiful home and it is decorated so beautifully! Her backyard is just amazing. She serves a lovely breakfast. Again, I can not say enough. I will definitely stay there again! BTW, her house is walking distance to the Doune Castle!!!

THE place to stay in Doune or surrounding area. Absolutely beautiful House. First class service from Lynda and John. The breakfast was amazing, a variety of fresh fruits, Greek yoghurt and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was so delicious. The food and presentation is on par with any of the top restaurants in London. Fabulous mature gardens running down to the stream. Very enjoyable stay.

So glad we stayed at Glenardoch House. Wonderful property and fabulous hosts. The house is beautiful and the garden is a wonder to explore round. We felt very welcome and the little touches and details make the place stand out. Shame we only stayed one night. Would definitely stay there again. And literally just around the corner from Doune Castle.

Normally it is fairly easy to write a positive review of a hotel. But in case of this wonderful B&B it is very hard to come up with the right words to describe just how exceptionally delightful are the hosts, the premises and the memories of our stay there. There is so much to praise but it has all already been said.
Check out reviews on TripAdvisor. You'll see such descriptions as "best experience ever", "truly special accommodation", gorgeous, lovely, perfect etc. It's all true.
