OMG, I highly recommend it! The friendly staff and the atmosphere as we walked in were warm. I was able to book a twin disabled room as it was me and my daughter, and she doesn't like sharing a bed. We had the best night's sleep we've had for a long time away from home. Breakfast was simple but just right.

Very good value for money. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Perfect for what we needed. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Good variety for breakfast. Parking is £3 for 24 hours which is nothing.|Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend if your looking for reasonably priced hotel.

Lack of signage left me a little confused at first as the outside is emblazoned with "Midland Railways Grain Warehouse 2" in large white letters. The tiny sign on the door reading "GoTo Hotels" is easy to miss, especially with my myopic vision. Confusion was compounded by the fact that my map said it was a Travellodge! Eventually, after much internal debate, I got out of my car to confirm that it was in fact a hotel and not still a Victorian grain warehouse. Check in was easy, with breakfast cheerfully arranged by Xylia. I have since found out Xylia is a girl's name with Greek origins meaning “wood” or “of the forest,” I have been reliably informed that Xylia is a naturalistic name with a musical pronunciation, which suited her personality well. I also met Frank Good Eggs. Frank apparently is of German, English, and French origin and means "free" or "Frenchman". Neither of them told me the details of their names so I looked it up. I cannot comment on whether Frank was free, or indeed French, but both were good fun and extremely helpful during my stay. If you fancy a bit of healthy competitive egg scrambling as part of your morning routine this is the place to be. Be warned the bar is high. If I ever come to Burton Upon Trent I will be staying here again and hope to meet these guys again. A good laugh.

We booked this hotel as we were going to a wedding close by, it was cheap and cheerful. The manager Claire was great, nothing was too much trouble. We needed to check in early but as our room wasn't ready she made sure our bags were in our room when we got in. She also arranged taxis for us and when the first one was late she was on the phone chasing them before we even had chance to ask. Would definitely recommend this hotel it was basic but had everything you needed.

Staff members were friendly and helpful, and the room was a good size, with adequate, basic facilities, making it a good deal for the price. However, we found the breakfast overpriced for the limited choice and amount on offer. I suggest either lowering the price for breakfast, or increasing the range and quality.

Stayed at this hotel over the weekend with my family and it was brilliant. Hotel was spotless, all the staff we met were friendly and polite especially manager Karen, and Claire! ||Nothing was too much trouble for them both, and they were super helpful when we needed advice on things to do around the area! ||Will definitely stay again.

Very very very rude manager called Claire. Absolutely disgusting how she speaks to customers. Don’t work in a customer service environment when you have no people skills. Don’t ask a customer to explain to you what’s happened and then go on to believe the staff member and call the customer a liar. Absolutely shocking how Claire is a manager, the way she treats customers needs looking into by someone senior. Never have I come across a manager as rude as Claire Ibis Burton really need to check their management over! Avoid at all costs!!!

No longer an Ibis. Booked and paid for on Booking.com and was told that if I wanted to stay I would have to pay again. I didn’t. I don’t know whose fault this was - booking.com, ibis, the hotel - but not happy, Be warned if you book via an external booking agent.
