Right from our first meeting with the Wedding Planner, Amanda, we were made to feel in safe hands. Communication was excellent throughout the planning stage. Everything explained in full either face to face, emails or over the phone. The whole family were accommodated without fuss. Dining room was laid out beautifully. Food was excellent. Service was impeccable. The children had freedom to run around the grounds safely. Rooms were fit for royalty. Breakfast was perfect. Their kitchen garden is the best that we have seen. I would thoroughly recommend Goldsborough Hall for a wedding venue.

A most pleasant overnight stay in most luxurious surroundings. The staff were pleasant and obliging. We were given a room upgrade on arrival which was most appreciated. We would definitely stay again. Our only issue was a lack of detail of the breakfast on the website but these were provided as part of the check in process as we were given a tour of the hall.

We had the set lunch which was 5 courses of truly delicious food. Often ambitious it’s a bargain for the quality. We had a walk around the beautiful gardens before sitting down where we could see our lunch growing!
My only quibble was the strangely stilted service as it to a long time to get drinks when we were the only table in there.

Stunning hotel and beautiful grounds. We enjoyed exploring the gardens and had a really wonderful stay. Our suite was beautiful, we loved the whirlpool bath, there are gorgeous views of the garden from the room and the huge bathroom. There's a pod machine in the room which is a nice touch and being coffee addicts we were grateful for this. The 4 poster was also huge and incredibly comfortable and if you so wish there are various entertainment apps available on the TV to log your own accounts into if you like. We also had the tasting menu while we were here and it was absolutely 5*, each course just got better and better but in particular the pheasant dish we had was to die for. Lovely friendly staff and Jeeves the cat is the best hotel greeter! We loved him! He even came to say hello when we were enjoying pre dinner drinks and canapés.

My wife and I enjoyed our 3 night stay. There is much to like but there are also some shortcomings. The building is beautiful as are the internal rooms, such as the Restaurant, Drawing room, Library and Orangery. The grounds are superb, tranquil, quiet and well kept. The kitchen garden was a revelation, large, well kept and a wonder to behold. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast in the Orangery was superb, among the very best that we've experienced. I hope that the owners will take the criticisms in the manner that they're intended; an attempt to be helpful, viz: |Our 'deluxe' room was small, I would have expected at least 50% more space.|The wardrobe was tiny and had only two spare clothes hangers, I would have expected at least ten.|The 'sleigh' bed was low with a rather thin matress - not ideal for older folk.|The bathroom fittings were all of superior quality, but the room was too small and lacked horizontal surfaces for the placement of personal toiletries.|The drain plug in the bath/shower was in the centre of the bath and constituted a trip hazard for someone showering.|We did not dine in the restaurant so cannot comment.

This is an exceptional hotel set in stunning grounds. The tasting menu and matched wines were absolutely superb ; what a chef!, and the staff were all lovely and attentive. Our room was beautiful and perfect for our very happy greyhounds.We came for our 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful stay.The attention to detail in every aspect was first class . We will definitely be back thank you

Had a truly wonderful experience while staying at this hotel for one night on a dinner & breakfast special offer ?

While the room was a bit tired and in our opinion was in need of a refresh the overall quality of service and especially the tasting menu food was absolutely delicious and a true work of art.
I would also highly recommend the pairing wines with each course, while not cheap they certainly complement the food courses extremely well.
Highly recommended for all lovers of amazing food and service ?

Quality hotel in beautiful setting. The gardens are wonderfully kept, wish we'd had more time than we did to explore. Staff were helpful and attentive. Special thanks to the lovely lady who served us with an excellent breakfast.|Would thoroughly recommend.
