Hired the meeting room for a business meeting and stayed overnight with work colleagues. Gorgeous hotel seeped in history and has loads of character. The manor is very charming and has a super-relaxed vibe. The team were so very helpful during our stay and breakfast was absolutely lovely. We absolutely loved our stay here. We had the palatial Garden Suite with its elegant and comfortable four-poster. I'd requested a bottle of champagne to be ready for us on our arrival, which it duly was. Dinner was of excellent quality and served to us by the charming, ever-professional Nick. Breakfast was equally tasty. Katie, at reception, who dealt with my booking, was very friendly and professional; in fact, all the staff we encountered were brilliant.|If it's an old-school hotel stay you're after, staffed by people who clearly love doing what they do, then the Grafton is the perfect choice.

Stayed overnight enroute to holiday destination and wished we'd stayed a couple of nights. Oh my what a treat. The suite was beautiful, like being in the set of Bridgerton! 🥰 The food was delicious and the staff were all lovely. Thank you Alisha for giving us a tour of the chapel and upper room. It was such good value, same as the Premier Inn but in a whole different league ❤️

We stayed here overnight on our drive from Devon to the North, and I am overjoyed we did as the Manor is absolutely beautiful. We were completely wowed when we drove along the long drive to find such a stunning piece of architecture. We were greeted by Katie in reception and she was so welcoming and informative about the house. We were overwhelmed when she showed us the Garden Room, which is a beautiful suite. We absolutely loved the room and it was such a treat to have a gorgeous deep bath. Our four poster bed was a fabulous place for the best nights sleep, so quiet and high quality bedding. We ate in the restaurant and had a delightful meal, goats cheese starter, fresh and put together perfectly. My husband loved all of his three courses and said the chocolate torte was the best he'd had. Wine excellent and very reasonably priced. Breakfast much higher quality than other places with homemade bread!!!! I usually don't eat bread at breakfast as often like cardboard(I am a fussy food teacher) but this was superb. Even the coffee was good. We loved our stay and feel very lucky we found it. All serviced was outstanding.

My beautiful wife and I had our wedding here in June last year. Everything was immaculately, and professionally organised with calm good humour. ||A truly gorgeous Manor House with a lovely chapel. Delightful gardens with fabulous views. ||Champagne reception, with excellent canapés followed by a delicious wedding breakfast in a stunningly dressed marquee. ||The rooms are all delightful, very comfortable and quirky!!||We could not thank the management and staff enough. We had a day we will never ever forget. ||If you are thinking of Grafton Manor as your wedding venue - don’t hesitate. I’m sure you will be as thrilled as we were. |Shawn Williams

Grafton Manor is the ultimate hidden gem. Local to us, we have only just discovered it for our anniversary treat. Lovely welcome from Katie in reception. We were very kindly upgraded to the Garden (honeymoon) Suite which was very special and spacious. Dinner was superb with more excellent and friendly service. Breakfast also very generous and tasty. A walk around the grounds revealed more space and beauty. What a setting, including the ancient Chapel.

Stayed at this hotel for three days with work and was blown away. I was in the Garden suite.. which is basically one wing of the hotel! Three rooms in one, walk in to a hallway with a large dressing room to the right, through to a huge room with settes, coffee table and a fantastic luxurious four poster bed, then to the back of the room you enter a huge, traditionally styled bathroom with a huge free standing bath and separate large waterfall shower cubicle set in the wall. The food is outstanding, evey meal I had I was fine dining standard. As for the Staff, they have really made my stay memorable. Mia the duty manager was friendly, helpful, informative, fun to chat to and nothing was a problem, Nick the evening waiter was courteous, polite and again, nice to talk to. 'Lady' Catherine who served breakfasts was a breath of fresh air first thing on a morning and very pleasant. Even the room cleaners went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed.|The hotel is old, quirky but very well kept to keep the olde world feel and amplify it's history.|Would highly recommend.|Thanyou to ALL the staff for a memorable stay.|Richie.

We checked in and the receptionist was pleasant and welcoming. Although while stood in reception we noticed it was grubby and needed a lick of paint a while back. We were assigned the music room and as we made our way upstairs, the grubby paintwork, carpet stains and general run down feel became even more apparent. Yes it’s an old building, but old buildings should be maintained, cleaned and painted too. We went into the room and there were cup stains on the furniture, and the toilet had the last guests pubic hairs around the rim. That was it we checked out and asked for a full refund. The receptionist offered us an alternative room and was very polite as we were. We declined and left. It could be a lovely venue after a good clean and decorate. But not today.
