The Graineag B&B was the most relaxing stop on our trip through Scotland. Barbara and Ian are the perfect B&B hosts, from the delicious breakfasts to helping us decided what sights to see. We enjoyed the beautiful country setting and all the comforts provided.

Our only regret with this delightful B&B was that we only stayed one night. Barbara and Ian were warm, welcoming and informative hosts. Our room was pristine with nice, unexpected touches. Breakfast (and particularly the Haggis) was amongst the best we've had in Scotland. The area is of course stunning and the mild, sunny Autumn weather was an added bonus. We would certainly visit again.

We stayed with Ian and Barbara at Graineag for two nights near the end of September. And what a wonderful stay it was! We had no trouble finding the bed and breakfast thanks to the detailed directions we received via email prior to our arrival. It is a little way out of the main towns near Loch Ness, but in a beautiful location, with a small creek running through the property and highland cattle in a field nearby.||||As soon as we walked in, Barbara took us up to our room and provided us a wealth of knowledge of interesting things to do and see around Loch Ness. She also asked if we wanted to try haggis at breakfast, which we said yes to, and it was very tasty!||||The room itself was great, quite large with nice ceiling windows, a comfortable bed, a couple of chairs, tea and coffee making supplies, a beautiful bathroom complete with shower, tub and bath robes, and a wee dram each night we were there, which we enjoyed before bed! She also brought up fresh milk for tea! We also heard a deer rutting in the woods all night, a great sense of being in the countryside and a part of nature indeed!||||Breakfasts were delicious and filling but great! We got the full Scottish breakfast complete with haggis both mornings and they were very hearty but very good! The breakfast room overlooks the small creek and a few very busy bird feeders, very tranquil and really made you feel like you were out in the countryside.||||As we were leaving we also had a great chat with Ian. Both hosts were exceptionally friendly and very helpful with their knowledge of Scotland, particularly the area around Loch Ness and Isle of Skye. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would definitely come back if we are in the area again! Thanks!

A little off the beaten track, about 7 miles back from Loch Ness itself, but on the road to Skye therefore convenient if you are going there (we weren't), but still OK and away from the crowds nearer to the Loch. Located in a lovely house in its own grounds adjacent to a little burn (stream) with lots of birds to watch. The guest room was upstairs and very large. It was extremely clean and the bed and chairs very comfortable. Very quiet, we did not hear anything. The full breakfast was fabulous, the dining room is situated with windows on three sides providing nice views of the grounds. The owner, Barbara was extremely nice and helpful, and they even provide a complimentary small sample of Scotch in the room! Very highly recommended. Would definitely return.||They don't serve dinner, but there is a quaint little cafe/diner at the corner of the main road that serves hamburgers and other sandwiches.

It was a wonderful (short) stay at this B&B, the accommodation is well situated, the rooms are big, clean and comfy. Barbara and her son were really friendly and hospitable. We were chatting a lot while enjoying the best breakfast on our trip, simply delicious. We should have stayed much longer, we can only recommend it to everyone! Unfortunately Ian was at the hospital at that time, best wishes from Austria!

My husband and I stayed in this most amazing bed and breakfast for only one night. We both wish we had been able to spend several days there. The owners, Barbara & Ian are so kind and so lovely. The room we had was the best room we had during our vacation. A huge room, comfortable large bed, refrigerator, desk, chairs, window with gorgeous view. In the room were bottles of water, cookies, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, Scotch for 2, all part of the room. The bathroom was also huge. It had both a large bath tub as well as a separate shower, towel warmer/hanger, shower gel, shampoo, moisturizer, sewing kit ... everything one would need. The breakfast was also awesome. Hot and cold, Full Scotish Breakfast or whatever one wanted, fruit, cereal, nuts, dried fruit, juice, tea, coffee, toast and so much more. The breakfast room had a beautiful view of their creek and the cows and lovely greenery. Barbara & Ian are generous and kind hosts. They gave us helpful hints, told us what was nice to see nearby. On their beautiful land they have sheep, cows, steers birds eating from bird feeders. There is also a small cafe by the road near their home. This is the nicest bed and breakfast we had ever stayed in. If you are ever visiting Glenmoriston, Inverness, Scotland, stay at Graineag Bed and Breakfast. You'll absolutely love it and be so glad you did. The only problem was finding it, but we did find it. Look for a Cafe in the area and you'll find the path to this enchanting and wonderful bed and breakfast.

Barbara and Ian are wonderful hosts, lovely home, very large and comfortable room with en suite, situated in a quiet location.||Superb breakfast! Great advice of local places of interest and recommendation of the local Glenmoriston Arms - fantastic food.||Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone thinking of staying here.||Lastly we cannot forget the lovely welcome and cuddles from their gorgeous Sprocker.||We will be back to stay again.

This was our best stay so far. The house is absolutely beautiful, the room was clean and cozy. I've got no words to describe the surroundings. It was stunning. When you were lying in bed the only thing you heard was the birds chirping outside and the water going down the stream. At night you could see a sky full of stars (the weather did help with that). The owners are wonderful, they're so friendly and actually spend time with you making you feel welcome and giving you advise of where to go and what to see. The breakfast room has an amazing view and the breakfast itself has everything you need. I can't find any flaws on this B&B. Everything was perfect.
