Really, chain up a 20 year old tv with the PAT test 15 years out of date?
Never seen a thin jar used to house coffee in, its so small you cannot get the tea spoon in it?
Spend a few extra pennies for decent coffee ☕️.
Good location but be aware maidstone town centre is very busy at rush hour, it took me 50 minutes from Lenham (should have been 20)
Worth a stay, yes but not at £60 a night, but what is cheap now.
2 pubs within a 10 minute walk, same for takeaway food and a large free car park.

This hotel was booked because it was nearest to a New Years Eve event in Maidstone.|Firstly, on arrival, there is no sign externally telling you the hotel's name. It looked like anold people's home. I had to go inside to check before we parked.|Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially as I had made a mistake on the booking. All was sorted by email.|This hotel is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. There are stairs up and down throughout.|I'm sorry to say that the whole corridor where our room was located smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Like a pub in the 80's. I have not smelt this in a hotel for many years. Our room really smelled strongly of cigarettes. The room decor was very outdated. Cobwebs at ceiling level. However, we literally only wanted a bed for the night, and that is what was provided. Bed was large and comfortable- sheets and pillowcases clean. Very quiet room. The shower was nice and hot. Towels white and fluffy. |If they could decorate the room and get rid of cigarette smell, it would be fine.|Bar area and lounge was light and airy. People at bar seemed to be enjoying a pleasant evening. About the right price for a 2/3 star hotel in Maidstone.|

I attended a Christmas party night at the hotel last night and I have to say it was not worth the effort of getting dressed and paying for a taxi.|The bar area on arrival was ok but then we moved through to the venue there were a few decorations hanging from the wall light fixtures but minimal effort had been made. Then came the food…. Salmon starter was served with no lemon with zero effort on presentation, it got worse, what should have been braised steak was a piece of meat that looked like it had been cooked well in advance with a bit of watery gravy poured over it. As for the accompanying veg I won’t even bother to explain. The dessert was the only thing that I was prepared to eat but was not what was ordered.|If you have a Christmas party booked here I would eat before you go or at least have very low expectations

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!

To say it was filthy would be a complete understatement!

The room was falling apart. The door was burned and the wood broken and sticking out causing a hazard. Mould and dirt around the shower. Sheets had hairs on them.

Honestly couldn't be more disgusted! The price was outrageous for what greeted us on arrival

Arriving late, we were shown to our room. The windows were left open, presumably because of the horrible smell. And it was cold. There weren't any bulbs in the majority of lights and there were no towels. We called down for towels but the staff couldn't open the door - we were locked in. When they finally got us out, we asked for another room for safety concerns. The new room was dirty, the sheets were marked, it was cold and smelly. Again, no towels and they changed the bedding. The bedding was thin and not warm enough for a room without heating, despite us asking it be turned on. Again, there was a lack of light bulbs and the TV didn't work. Very tired and with little choice, we slept in the bed. Went to have a shower in the morning to find it didn't work. Asked the receptionist for help who said the hotel is being refurbished and ought to be closed as everyone complains. There were no other rooms available so we couldn't shower. We were told we'd been put in the honeymoon sweet - something I find incredibly sad given the state of it. The bed post had been sawn off and left with an open cut, the fabric headboard had a huge stain, the wall paper was ripped, the windows didn't have functioning locks. Shoddy doesn't describe it. It really was the most terrible place I've ever stayed. It made me feel dirty. To top it off, the kitchen was closed so even if we wanted the breakfast part of our B&B, we couldn't. The receptionists were nice people but clearly morale is low and although they were human and honest, they lacked professionalism. We were given a £60 refund on a £95 room and told to write a complaint to receive the rest. I'm not sure I see the logic - I assume it's an attempt to dissuade. Huge health and safety concerns here. And I think it's terrible that they can take people's hard earned money in good conscience. Particularly as I'm told the owner is at sea having a lovely time.

We recently chose the Grange Moor Hotel to celebrate a special birthday for our mum, and while I’d like to begin by commending the staff on their friendliness, helpfulness, and hard work, the overall experience left us deeply disappointed.||The communication leading up to the event was excellent and gave us confidence in choosing the venue for such an important occasion. However, the service and quality on the day fell far short of the standards we expected.||Pre-Booked Menu Not Prepared Properly|Despite pre-booking the menu, the correct ingredients for my niece’s starter had not been ordered, which was disappointing from the outset.||Carvery Issues||While the food appeared hot, the beef was so rare it was practically impossible to cut or chew.||The gammon was also undercooked.||Gravy was slow to be replenished, leaving some guests to eat without it.| |My niece and her partner were initially given just one roast potato between them. They were told a dish would be brought to the table within 10 minutes, but by the time it arrived, they had already finished their meals.|When the roast potatoes finally arrived, they were undercooked and resembled something akin to frozen ones (e.g. Aunt Bessie’s), unlike the ones served to the rest of the table.| |No serviettes were provided on the table, and my son had to hunt some down himself.||My sister’s cappuccino was essentially a cup of hot milk. We had to add coffee from the pot we’d ordered to make it drinkable.||Sugar was not brought to the table despite a specific request from my brother-in-law.||Another table left early, but not before picking at the unattended carvery—completely unacceptable in any dining environment.||The state of the building was shocking, with noticeable deterioration in cleanliness and general upkeep compared to our previous visits.||At one point, the experience felt so chaotic that we half-joked we were on a hidden-camera game show. Unfortunately, this was no joke—it was far from the celebratory meal we had hoped for, especially for such an important occasion.||While £24.95 per head is a reasonable price, we still expect a basic level of quality and service, which was sadly not delivered. Over the years, we have attended many events at the Grange Moor Hotel.||I made my views clear on the day that there were issues and after putting this in writing, along with a follow up email, to date there's been no response from the Grangemoor, which is concerning. ||One star is too much, avoid at all costs

One of the most rubbish christmas parties i have ever been to.|The food was seriously mediocre, the service at the bar for basically 40 people was irritatingly slow. The "party room" was a joke...during dinner it was like an interrogation room-no ambience and the light was incredibly bright. Once the lights went down...the ambience changed but not in a positive way. The room was not particularly festivals decorated and the do was just a couple of guys with a laptop. We got an earlier taxi than we had originally booked as it was pretty rubbish. Save ur money! We had been to an Xmas party a couple of years before and it was a hundred times better. We won't be back.
