Wow - what a place! Stayed here for 3 nights. It was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. ||The hotel overall was very clean and well maintained. The grounds are great with Peacocks and Guinea fowl roaming freely. Our room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and serviced daily. Breakfast was plentiful, varied, perfectly cooked and well presented. Evening meals in the restaurant were varied, very well cooked and well presented with daily specials board. Food and drink prices were very reasonable. The owner and all staff were very attentive , friendly and professional. We felt very welcome and valued guests. The hotel was quiet and the atmosphere throughout our stay was excellent. We will definitely return if they’ll have us!

On short notice, we called the Trethew Manor asking for accommodation for the night. One night became 4 nights spent in one of the family rooms in the main part of the hotel. Our luggage was carried to our rooms, we were very comfortable and made to feel welcome by Mike and Jane. Loved our breakfasts each morning and our conversations with Rachel who not only cooked our breakfasts but answered our many questions about Cornish life (we’re from Canada). The peacocks and guinea fowl were a treat to watch each evening as they chased each other across the lawns and occasionally even roosted on the roof outside our bedroom windows. We woke to the peacocks’ call, walked the country lane, watched the children on their ponies being led by their teachers and all in all it was a restful time. Yes, the road coming in was a bit tricky in spots but well worth the effort to stay at the Great Trethew Manor Country Hotel. Thank you for a relaxing time.

Hi me a sue stayed at the great trethew manor hotel for 3 nights 100 % value for money, lovely staff, and lovely owner. The area is stunning ,very clean shower room, very clean bedroom,very clean hotel ,a big breakfast, Looe about 15mins away, polperro about 20 mins away st Ives
1 1/4 hrs we had a great stay we would recommend it and will be back

5 stars isn’t enough to describe what a beautiful place this is! Location, fantastic, area, beautiful , service, with a smile and can’t do enough for you! Very clean lodges with all of the facilities you need for a comfortable stay! Great value for money! Will stay here again! The beds are very comfortable and bedding was fresh and allergen free , I’m a sneezer and these were very hygienic! The peacocks were gorgeous and a lovey addition to this fab plavd! Would highly recommend!

Perfect stay. Accommodation was immaculate, clean, everything we needed in the lodge such as bedding, towels and they even went the extra mile and left washing powder under the sink and some washing up liquid. The staff are polite and friendly. The scenery is stunning. It’s the perfect get a way and only -0 mins drive to liskeard and 15mins to looe. There’s a bus route 15 mins walk from the accommodation too which goes into liskeard. There is an on site restaurant and bar. Peacocks roaming around and surrounded by nature and tress. Strong WiFi signal. Couldn’t fault the place at all. Thank you Jane and staff for a really lovely time. We will definitely be going back. The lodge we stayed in had a veranda and views of the trees and valley. Close to Adrenalin quarry and also they offer some extra things like pony trekking. Compared to most places I have stayed this is next level in accommodating every needs. Perfect for a couple or family get away. What makes it so special is that it’s so peaceful but also has up to date technology if needed like WiFi and is so close to shop and tourist attractions. The hotel and cottages looked nice to stay in too. Thank you 🙂

Stayed here for 1 night in Owl Lodge..and wow what a beautiful place...From the friendly staff/amazing views/cleanliness and of course the Peacocks that strutt around the ground like they own it...Well maybe they do 🤣 Couldn't fault anything and thank you again for a wonderful time.xx

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Pheasant Lodge and wished we could have stayed a couple more nights it was so lovely. The lodge is brand new and was outstanding. The location is so lovely on the edge of the wood and sitting out on the veranda you can hear all sorts of different birds and often the peacocks will join you on the railings. |We ate one evening meal in the hotel and it was very nice. |It’s a good location to visit Cornwall and makes a great base. |I don’t want to say anything negative as it was so lovely but I am going to be honest, the WiFi was non existent apart from on the veranda (not such a bad thing when the weather is nice) and the water pressure is weak making washing hair a little harder work. |I would certainly recommend this lodge as a lovely place to stay, even the teens gave it a big thumbs up.

Fabulous family stay here at the weekend. Log fires, really spacious immaculate bedrooms, and lovely staff who welcomed our grandchildren and even said rearrange the furniture however you like!! Peacocks in the garden, pony riders and gold fish in the pond. Great breakfast with everything you could think of and nothing too much trouble. Amazing approachable staff. Just perfect!
