I recently stayed at the Fsemhouse Inn Lodge in Portsmouth for a family gathering to celebrate my son's graduation from the Royal Mines School of Music. We spent £1,500 on rooms, anticipating a pleasant experience, but what we encountered was utterly disappointing.

At dinner in the Hungry Horse restaurant attached to the hotel, one of our group ordered a burger and asked if it came with a salad. When the burger arrived without the salad, we asked about it and were assured it was on its way. What finally arrived was a single lettuce leaf with two pieces of onion. When we pointed this out, the waiter laughed at us. This level of disrespect is unacceptable.

When we complained about the service, we were met with unprofessional and rude behavior. The staff accused us of "bullying" and "intimidation," which was far from the truth. We only wanted decent service and good communication, not to be ridiculed and treated with disdain.

This experience was deeply disappointing and ruined what should have been a joyous occasion for our family. We are here until Sunday if the management wants to put this right. I expect the management to address this issue and offer a formal apology for the disgraceful service we received.

I would just like to say thanks to the greene king hotel, the staff are absolutely amazing, they are always on hand, there customer service is top notch and the team is a well oiled machine, I have been staying here for 3 months now due to working away and they have never let me down at any point, I can’t say enough!!! about the team, the management are great, and so are there staff. Well done guys,

if you need a hotel in the Portsmouth area give the greene king a try, you wont be disappointed, thanks guy Si x

Stayed for 2 nights. This hotel is tired and clearly underfunded. It needs a makeover, the curtain track in our room was hanging off, and the shower controls difficult to operate, and there was a musty smell throughout.
The bar, a nice space, was not in use, apart from breakfast, so drinks were only available in the farmhouse restaurant attached to the hotel. I stay in Portsmouth quite often, although not at this hotel again.

* Five Stars to Marzena *, we had a meal in the pub which wasn't brilliant and she went over and beyond to fix things. Give her a payrise, or even better promote her to bar manager. She dealt with our issues where others couldn't be bothered. I'll be spending my money elsewhere in future.

Very nice lil room for a good price, plenty of parking and a nice covered smoking area, am enjoying my stay and plan to eat. Would recommend.
