We went to the Bury St Edmunds Greene Inns for our Christmas break for 10 days the Location was great we was not so pleased with the pub/hotel itself on the first night we ordered soup in the restaurant both soups were really cold and the wifes soup came with ice floating on top we complained and they stuck the soups back in the microwave again brought it back where it was just about ok ,most of the food there is microwaved ie food was hard/cooked in the middle and not around the outside so food i would give it a 2/10, The rooms were great, But the restaurant/pub area was looking a bit Grubby the wood panels could do with a good clean/Dust we were expecting better considering what we paid for the 10 days there so to some up we wouldnt stay here again but must say the Town was fantastic

Attended a formal Dinner A black tie event and there was 1.5 staff to serve 100 guests!

Never have I attended a formal dinner where the guests had to serve fellow guests as the management had not enough staff on hand!

Dinner plates were stacked in a corner of the formal room such a disgrace!

If we had waited for the 1.5 staff to serve the guests then we would still be waiting,

The worst hotel experience I have experienced,

Will never come to any event here again!

We stayed at one of your establishments this weekend on Fri/Sat/Sun night in Forest Row as we were volunteers at a nearby event. Nothing wrong with the accommodation, the staff were very welcoming, the food was good. What I am not happy with is your pricing structure. We booked quite far in advance because the price advertised was reasonable, unfortunately my friend went ahead with the booking without realising that we were not given any kind of deal for booking three consecutive nights, but we're in fact charged different rates per night resulting in our stay totalling £267.50 each plus, we had our evening meals there each night. I have stayed at other hotels in your chain in the past and paid the exact price that was advertised. It seems you have based your prices on demand over that period rather than giving your customers an incentive to come back. We won't be.

I recently went to The King's Arms Hotel, Westerham, Kent three weeks ago and attempted to buy a pint of either Abbott or IPA draught bitter but neither was available! As usual over the last few months, the manager is "not available" either! Beer quality and availability has been a recurring problem as has the lackadaisical attitude of many of the bar staff! I later found that the toilet was STILL in a disgusting state with all four urinals taped off and the alternative being two stalls, one of which was blocked! I made a complaint to The Company's dedicated Complaints Website and within two days both problems were addressed, problems which had been ongoing for many months! The following Tuesday, November 2nd,I was attacked in the middle of my drink in the front bar by a miniskirted thug I later found out to be a manager, threatening to call the police on me and acting hysterically, making lying accusations and repeating a phrase I had used in the confidential complaints to the Company! I made a subsequent complaint about this outrageous behaviour towards a 68 year old disabled pensioner with heart problems and Greene King's attitude was to bar me!
