Stayed here for 3 nights from 10th September. Lovely room, great breakfasts and close to town, beach and bus and steam railway. Lovely walks to Durlston Country Park, which, has a good cafe and lots of outdoor seating. The weather was kind if a bit chilly because of a breeze from a northern direction but still managed to catch the sun. John was a great host, who offered suggestions for thing's to do. The lovely Merlin the golden retriever was our companion at breakfast.

This is a delightful welcoming B&B yards from the centre of town. A very warm welcome on arrival from the proprietors, and beautiful decorated throughout. A nice room on the first floor at the back of the house with views to the hillside. The room was well equipped with coffee & tea making facilities and biscuits too, shelving, bottle opener, chairs, large accommodating wardrobe and a very comfy bed. En-suite with shower, basin, toilet. Everything was immaculate, and the breakfast was plentiful with a choice starters, orange juice, toast and the meats sourced from the local butcher in town it was all very delicious served up in a cosy lounge. A first class B&B and well worth a stay at a reasonable price.

Stayed for 3 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time staying here. Lou and John are very welcoming and friendly, also had a lot of recommendations for our time here. Breakfast was delicious 😋 couldn't fault any thing all was perfect!

Jon and Lou offer a remarkably friendly and comfortable service. They are right in the town centre so it is easy to explore all that Swanage has to offer on foot. Lou has all the local knowledge you could hope for and great choices for breakfast.
Tea and coffee in the room very pleasant.
Room is modest sized (there is a larger one too) which some visitors might find a little 'snug'. But for an overnight stay it is comfortable and ideal.
Would have no hesitation in recommending Gretenham B&B.

Changed hotels at the last minute and boy was we glad. What an amazing place. We was greeted by John, a warm and welcoming host and stayed in the King Classic with a sea view. Spotlessly clean and modern room with all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was pre-ordered and was served to us in our room at the time we selected and was of exceptional quality. I would highly recommend staying here. If we ever go back to Swanage, we would most certainly stay at this hotel again. Thank you for an amazing couple of days.

Thank you so much to John and Lou for being so accommodating during our stay. Booking was simple and John was quick with his replies and to answer the phone|The room was spacious with a TV and coffee and tea making facilities. Bed was very comfortable too.|Breakfast was delicious with many options available.|Would 100% recommend staying here, also just a short walk into the town too

We had a lovely stay just before the Easter weekend . We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms, which was lovely and bright, with good storage space and a really comfy bed. The ensuite is very small but perfectly adequate, and there is another larger bathroom across the landing which you can also use if you want more space. Breakfast was lovely (you must try the scrambled eggs!) and served the time we asked. The hosts John and Lou were very attentive, lovely hosts, and even let us put the ice blocks for our cool bag in the freezer! The property is also just a minutes walk from the centre of Swanage. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent B&B just up the road from the beach. We stayed recently for a night and the hosts were so friendly and helpful, even holding a parking space right opposite the house for us. Our room (the sea view room) was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was cooked exactly as we wanted. We’d definitely stay again!
