Excellent pub hotel in a lovely village location.|The room was well sized and very quiet. Very helpful and friendly staff throughout. The pub restaurant has great quality food with a range of local ales and beers. Overall a very peaceful and pleasant stay.

Just returned from a night at the Greyhound inn. We're greated by very friendly staff who worked there socks off to make sure everyone was looked after. The evening meal was very nice and reasonably priced. Our room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was also very good. I would definitely recommend this lovely pub and the great staff that work there.

Such a pleasant surprise to find a pub/B & B with such super staff, all of them. I wish I had all their names, but they were all really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. A credit to the Greyhound, well done, team !!...and meeting the beautiful Olive, little puppy made my day!!

The food was excellent but we were a party of 9 and had pre-ordered our meal choices but still waited 45 minutes for our food to be served. But as I said once it came it was first class. We weren't staying. Just going for a celebration meal.

The Coeliac Blogger: I've been here many times over the years and had some amazing foods, but as it's has had several owner's the food hasn't been up to scratch the past few times I've been here. I had a beef with spinach and it was extremely salty, it was good they did make it gluten free, Essential as I'm a Coeliac but it's put me off going there to eat in the future. Great location, nice coffee. But definitely needs improvement.

My wife and I have just got home from 2 wonderful night stay at the Greyhound. We were very impressed with the Inn. Lots of character, beams and stone walls. |Our room was very comfortable, very clean, it came with bottles of water, tea, coffee making equipment, and packets of biscuits, always a sign of being looked after. The breakfasts were fantastic, very good choices, if you didn’t want the full English, the quality of the food was top notch. We ate in the restaurant both evenings the service was excellent, the food was fantastic, again top quality meat and veg, I had a steak, my wife had the chicken the first night. They were both superb, second night I had fish and chips, my wife went for the vegetable stack, again both were very well cooked and delicious. I would like to mention all the staff too, they were always smiling, if you asked they would always answer of get what you asked for. Sorry didn’t get any names, but they were all wonderful, and made our stay a pleasure. We have stayed at many hotels/ guesthouses, I must say the Greyhound inn came in right at the top of the pile. Would be go back and stay? Totally yes, without hesitation.

Went to The Greyhound Inn in Sydling St Nicholas, a quintessential village in Dorset with thatched roofs and ponies, my family and I had the most delicious Sunday Roast, served by manager Thea and her colleague Matilda, two very professional staff with great manners and a welcoming friendly attitude. It was a lovely visit 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Visited again yesterday 1/3/25 with my sister for lunch, had a delicious steak and red wine pie and pudding.... Fabulous!
