Wife and I stayed at the Griffin for four nights over the Easter weekend . Overall it was good value for money . On the downside no breakfast was available (due to the owner being away) and our room let in very little natural light.It was however very clean comfortable and nicely decorated. Free Wifi was appreciated . Only guests on site but the owners rep was only a phone call away.About a 25 minute walk from the town centre and (ideally for us as we were there for the walking ) only 5 minutes from the Narrow canal towpath . We intend visiting Huddersfield again in the future and will certainly consider the Griffin again

My sister-in-law came to visit and initially wanted to stay in a hotel in Huddersfield, but I'd heard some great reports about the Griffin Lodge and so she decided to stay there instead. She has now said that she won't stay anywhere else when she visits! Friendly staff, lovely, comfortable room and delicious breakfast. Who needs a hotel when you have a B&B like Griffin Lodge in Huddersfield!

My cousin stayed at the Griffin Lodge who lives in Doncastor and had a lovely experience. ||Was warmly welcomed by the host, who asked if anything was needed she would be more than willing to help, and she did!||Beautifully cooked breakfast...||Nice spacious warm room with WiFi access which was gratefully received...Close to the centre!||Rooms are clean, and well presented and she said she would definitely stay here again 🙂 ... xx

Car car at rear is a scrap yard. The Rooms adequate. Service non existent. We only saw someone on arrival who informed us they didnt live there. You make your own breakfast in morning which is a loaf of bread, toaster and cereal. Saw no one on check out at all. Considering room cost is same as Premier Inn needs to pull standards up.

we came to visit some family over Easter and decided to stay the night and the Griffin was close by. We turned up with no reservation and was greeted by a lovely man who was very helpful and sorted a room out for us , the room was nicely decorated and clean , overall very accommodating and great value, we would definitely stay here again

Had a stay recently at the griffin lodge and can't complain at any aspect of it! ||Great priced!||Close to town centre n easy to find, clean spacious and homely rooms and a lovely breakfast to start the day! ||Would defo stay again!! 🙂

Only 3 starters to choose from,Took 45 mins for mains to come even tho there was only about 4 other tables of 2 in there! Fish was tiny, fajitas were dry, gammon was burnt & bacon you could of broken your tooth on & got about 6 chips each. Ordered 3 chocolate fudge cakes for dessert 2 with ice cream & 1 with custard but when it came the waiter said sorry we didn't have enough for 3 so there really small portions no option to change for something else & we're all served with forks so was pretty hard to eat custard & ice cream with a fork. Only 1 waiter working. Place would be better if they had more trained staff & had menus & there wasn't such a long wait on food.

found out bout this place frm diff people sayin how gud it really is so phoned up and booked a room ||when got there on day there was no one around so phoned up to check into room to find out that the room had not been booked or taken so was really angry so at that time had nowhere to stay ||luckily got a room to stay in but will NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!
