Liked: Nice quiet site in the countryside. Suited us with its location. Brilliant for stargazing. Toilets and showers were clean enough. Nice play area for children.

Disliked: As convenient as the self check in was, the site was not well sign posted to find a pitch. Customer service given 1 star as we didn’t meet anyone!

Perfect little getaway in a great location.

the owner Bella was lovely and when we got confused stayed on the phone to navigate us.

Disliked: Only slight niggle; We didn’t realise the fire pit we hired would be collected, We went out for the day and the fire pit was gone when we returned.
To stop any confusion when making the payment initially they could have asked “how many nights are you wanting the fire pit for?” Whilst explaining it’s “£20 a night.” Which meant we had to lug the fire pit across the field twice. When we could’ve paid the £40 and saved a job.

Liked: The size and location of the site meant my children could go off and play without being too far away (8,13).
The bar is run by a lovely couple and all drinks are really reasonably priced, also amazing with the kids in terms of games etc.
Tents aren't all crammed together so loads of space too.
Lovely football field near bar and play area near the caravans.
Riverside location so got to watch the boats and wake boards from the jetty. A really nice walk along the river then along the farm that brings you back to entrance of the site.
Perfect location to york, just 20 mins or so in the car.
Will definitely book again for a weekend

Disliked: Toilets only cleaned once a day mid morning, which meant by evening they were full of water and the floor dirty. Only 2x toilets and showers for the whole site so was often really busy. There is a further family bathroom with a shower and toilet away from main block, but no hot water in the shower so struggled to get my little girl in as not much room in main block.
Also we stayed on the field next to the bar this time, so was quite noisy on Saturday night as had live music. So if wanting a quieter stay, best to camp in big field.

Liked: First ever camping weekend after we bought our trailer tent, what a way to start it :). Lovely site, nice and quiet just what we wanted.. park for the kids, shop close drive away if we needed anything. Easy self check in, electric hook up, toilets where cleaned whilst we was there, washing up area was handy! Definitely will come back again 🙂

We stayed on the land with our women's community for a private event and wow...straight from the start Belle was amazing an so accommodating. The site is beautiful, so tranquil, electric hook ups too always a bonus. We had the site exclusively for our ladies event which we would of been more than suited in the big field but for our privacy they allocated the other fields to us also. The club house was a great addition as some of us enjoyed it on the saturday evening. The owners were so helpful when our caterer cancelled 24 hours before they offered us a barbecue but instead we all opted for Chinese takeout which they gave us the menus for and a note pad to take orders. The showers and toilets and grounds were immaculate. Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish I highly recommend. We are so in love we've booked it for the next 2 years of our events ❤️

Liked: The site was easy to find and the road in isn't an issue as others have mentioned. Just take it easy on the roads and you'll be fine. We were greeted as we arrived and shown to our electric pitch. The site is just what we needed for our first-ever camping trip as a family. The site owners just left us to it. The site is nice and quiet, apart from when the singer was on in the clubhouse but we enjoyed listening to the singer and some of the karaoke singers! The site, in general, was clean and tidy. Me, my wife, the kids and dog all loved it and didn't want to leave!

Disliked: The toilets were a bit grim but I've seen much worse other than that it was excellent!

Liked: Loved the self check in. Lovely non electric pitches along a tree line.
Toilet/shower block was always clean. Although small, we never had to wait. View across farmland. Situated on river ouzel. Really feel out in the country, but only too us 45 mins to Bike into York along cycle path.

Liked: The place, levelled pitch with elec, clean facilities AND a bar which was open with very friendly tenant, good prices, and very nice terrace. Good time spent there.

Disliked: It is perhaps very isolated with a road to get there in a bad state.
Service could be further improved by providing additional catering services.
