Perfect location. Very tranquil with dark skies. Even caught a glimpse of the northern lights. Exceptional host who made a solo female traveller feel safe and welcome. Food was first class perfect after a long day walking. Highly recommended.

Tracey has created a true sanctuary in this old farmhouse. We arrived wet and weary after a muddy walk. Tracey picked us up from nearby Chollerford with a smile. Then to a deep deep bath and a beautiful home cooked meal. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, presentation excellent…just a superb meal. Added bonus is a free range pheasant.

Thank you Tracey and Mossie for a wonderful stay. Had an overnight stay at Hallbarns, it is a wonderful cosy B&B. The place is spotless and beds are very comfortable. Tracey kindly went out on the evening to collect a takeaway, nothing was a problem. We had a lovely breakfast with local produce and to top it off beautiful scenery all around. Highly recommended, get booked in.

Stayed at Hallbarns with friends to celebrate two milestone birthdays. Had a fabulous time! Lovely cosy original B & B with super comfortable beds and everything was immaculate. Fantastic breakfast. This was our favourite stop on our Hadrian's Wall walk Tracey was a fantastic host. My friend has food allergies and has a reaction to feathers and Tracey made sure everything was perfect for her. She is a very good cook and our three course dinner was delicious. Thank you for everything Tracey.

This was our favorite place to stay during our Hadrians Wall trek. Tracey keeps a pristinely clean home and is an absolute delight as a host. She made us a beautiful dinner and breakfast to order the next morning with a packed lunch for our trek the next day. Her complimentary ride from Chester Forts was an absolute lifesaver for two weary walkers. We loved this this Bed & Breakfast, they truly welcomed you into their beautiful home.
