Me and my partner stayed Fri-Sun for my birthday, we stayed in room 8 which was nicely decorated. Carpet seemed to have dirt/ crumbs when we arrived, However this did not ruin our stay. We stayed purely for the price, well worth the price paid. We did get kept up all night Saturday due to loud neighbours. We did get offered fresh breakfast items which was nice.

This hotel is very clean and well located. We did have an issue with the heating on arrival and contacted the designated telephone number provided (as no staff on site at all) and an engineer was sent out and sorted within the hour. However that said, there are no thermostats on the radiators, so we had radiators running at full blast and our door wedged open. The hot water is scalding hot . We had no cereal for breakfast, although according to the list and website pictures it should have been provided. Maybe marmalade should be swapped instead of honey. The kitchen is well stocked with plates and cutlery and has a dishwasher. |Top tips. Bring your own breakfast supplies. Coat hangers, as none in room 3. Tea towel for use in kitchen. Front door difficult to use when small in stature, (up steps and lock high up).

Booked this on the morning of our stay.
Quickly received confirmation and clear concise check in time for arrival.
The house is a lovely period property , easy to find with plenty of parking and an easy 1mile walk into town.
Access is via punch code locks which are simple to operate but if you're like me you need to keep handily recorded as they're 6 digits.
Everywhere was clean and well decorated and during our stay very quiet.
The room was comfy with good bedding, towels and toiletries.
The breakfast concept is a little strange with a small selection of products in your room fridge such you take down to communal kitchen but it proved adequate.
We had room 5 on the 1st floor front of property. This faces a main road so some traffic noise but not too bad , and during our stay the heating was not working properly in the room . The main thoroughfares of the house were very warm but our room was cold on arrival and the radiators didn't appear to be working, there was a little mobile electric heater so this proved OK and the bathroom radiator did kick into life sometime in the early hours.
Overall highly delighted and excellent value for money.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Hamilton Hotel Lincoln. As a loyal guest who has stayed here many times, I expected better treatment and understanding from the management.
Due to an unforeseen and distressing situation where my wife was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital, I had to cancel my booking at the last minute. While I understand the hotel has a 48-hour cancellation policy, I hoped they would show some flexibility or at least demonstrate empathy given the circumstances. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
Despite explaining the situation, the management rigidly adhered to their policy without any attempt to accommodate or show compassion. This lack of understanding was both shocking and disheartening, especially from a hotel that prides itself on hospitality.
It is clear that the Hamilton Hotel Lincoln is more concerned with sticking to their policies than caring for their loyal guests. This experience has left me feeling undervalued and questioning whether I will return in the future.
I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values empathy and customer care. Policies are important, but so is treating guests with humanity during challenging times.

This is a nice place to go, No staff there though! But rooms are big nicely done beds comfortable aswell not far from town or even a small shop just a short walk up the road from there. Secure doors with code locks so noone can get in unless they have the code. The cleaners are nice and friendly aswell.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The hotel was super cozy and quiet, and they gave us breakfast every day. The sheets were so clean, and they changed the towels every day.

What a find! Situated in a pleasant and leafy part of Lincoln, The Hamilton is a handsome building. The renovation into its current form as an 'autonomous hotel' has been done to a very good standard and with some imaginative use of space. The room I stayed in was clean, tidy and well appointed. The communal areas were well kept and the kitchen was exceptionally clean and looked great. I was on a course in town which was the reason for my stay and so my morning 'commute' was a 10min cycle ride along the river directly to Lincoln's beautiful marina.
Breakfast and coffee/tea is provided and of course you have full use of the kitchen. I took heed of previous reviews and brought with me a bowl and some cutlery.. do that and you're all set. I would definitely recommend this place. Many thanks Hamilton Hotel for helping to make my first visit to Lincoln a great one.

Make sure to avoid Room 2, because||It’s got a funny smell to it, not cleaning products,|It’s very noisy all night facing the main road,|The shower head is disgusting with ingrained black mould, it needs replacing,|The heating was turned off so it was cold. Open the radiator valve and it gets hot and stuffy.|The bed is cheap, hard and lumpy. The sheets are poor quality and the duvet is very thin.|Near the kettle there is a plastic bag containing two slices of bread (for toast in the morning?) Odd.||Otherwise|It’s fairly cheap at ca £40,|Arrangements for entry with keypad are OK, but I think the code changes daily, so once you leave in the morning you can’t get back in if you have left something in the room,|The kitchen is well equipped,|The room fridge has a pint of milk, yoghurts, chocolates and there are mini packs of Kellogg cornflakes with coffee sachets, tea bags, sugar for breakfast.|There is onsite parking though it’s very tight, don’t bring a wide car, the spaces are Ford Ka or VW Polo sized. You might get a dented door by a careless neighbour’s parking.
