Rooms are a bit dated but spotless clean. Our room was at the road side with lovely views over the waterfront. Well insulated windows so it was amazingly quiet.
Highly recommend, we definitely will revisit.

We had to book this room, last minute, as the place we had booked was a disgrace. We asked the lovely owner if she had a room for us. On an exceptionally hot day she showed us a lovely large cool room. It was perfect. It wasn’t inexpensive but I feel you get what you pay for. They showed us an ideal place that served breakfast too.

The owner Roddy was the kindest and most helpful host. He took us in when there was an issue with another booking. The rooms were clean, safe, and close to restaurants and pubs. I recommend staying here for a visit to the charming town of Oban!

I had booked somewhere else for my stay in Oban, but a few days before the arrival I was asked to go for one of the two nights in another guesthouse since the first was full, I then asked to stay for both nights in the same place without knowing much about my destination: everything was perfect, the room big enough and lighty with a beautiful window direct on the sea, Rod, the owner, a really nice person to talk with. A clean big room, a nice owner and a beautiful window to the sea at 5 min walk from the city centre, what’s more?

Once again in our travels we were running out of time and opportunities to secure accommodation for the night when we found this venue on the edge of the Oban townsite.||There was no one to greet us so we had to go 4 doors down the road to get service. Admittedly that's better than no service at all. Once inside the room we discovered that the bathroom was postage stamp size and we could barely fit in to the shower recess and we are by no means big people. The bed was somewat small and the pillows were like concrete but luckily we found a second set a bit more satisfactory.||Having said all this though the saving grace was the magnificent breakfast provided in the morning. It was faultless, plenty of choice and a great way to start the day.||Bearing in mind the exhorbitant price we paid compared to some of our previous B&Bs would only recommend this one as a last resort.

Rod was a wonderful host. We arrived in Oban and couldn't find a room! We started going door to door. Rod greeted our group and showed us the room. We needed a triple room. It was clean and within walking distance to everything. The car park is across the street in the public lot (free until 9am). A nice hearty breakfast was what we needed to get going in the morning. After our first night there, we realized we would be returning to Oban in two days and didn't have accommodations. We asked if he would hold a room for us when we returned on the ferry and he did. We would go back!

This is a nice little guest house. I got put here by another guest house that had overbooked. It is clean, spacious and cosy 85 a night with no breakfast, which is expensive.

Only issue is this I called several times and was unable to make contact with the owner to arrange my book in as I was unaware of the details.

I would recommend the place!

we have stayed here on several occassions over the past few years. we usually arrive on my husbands mototrbike having not bboked anywhere and have been able to get a room. it's the first place on that street after you come down the hill. The man has always been friendly and courteous and the last time we went he gave us a bigger double room. the smaller double is a bit tight when we offload all our gear from the bike. He has always been helpful and I would recommend it to others. We are even planning on going in the next few weeks and it will be the first place i try for accommodation in Oban.
