We arrived here mid morning having had a bad experience at a previous hotel and the staff were very welcoming. We were offered free coffee or teas which were gratefully accepted. We asked if there was a dog friendly room available which the lady said there was. I asked if I could see the room bearing in mind our previous experience and she very kindly said that we could go and see the room but it still had to be cleaned. We accepted that and went to have a look. As we walked along the corridor there was a very pleasant aroma and we were delighted to find that it was a very good sized room with a double bed and a single bed in it and the flooring was vinyl type which was very sensible and easily cleaned if necessary. The bathroom was a good size with a shower over the bath. |The whole place was clean and tastefully decorated in navy and white with a small bar and comfortable lounge. |We were offered an excellent deal with breakfast, free WiFi and free parking for the three days stay. Couldn’t have asked for more. The self service breakfast was excellent with full English, cereals, pastries etc. and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Stayed overnight as a friend’s party was in a pub, which was a short walk from the hotel.|We received a warm welcome, a complimentary drink. Our room was spacious and clean, breakfast was included in the price as we booked directly with the hotel. OLarge car park which is free when you register your car at reception, reception staff do remind you of this and plenty of signs to remind you. We would definitely stay again.

Cold food at a premium price and a very aggressive manager after asking for a refund for the food. He was actually waving him arms around in front of me. Eventually we got a refund but he argued about it for atleast an hour and tried to offer a different meal instead. The rooms and hotel were very dated. There is no lift and our room was on the top floor. I have mobility issues so give this hotel a wide berth if your disabled. |Our room was very basic and the hot tap on the sink didn't work at all. The shower was only Luke warm and there was a very poor pressure in the shower. This hotel needs money spending on it and there staff need some customer service training. Just before we checked out we went for breakfast which was cold and of a very cheap poor quality. I was looking forwards to check out. I will never stay at this hotel again and I will be sure to let all my family and friends never to stay there aswell

So this hotel was good value considering the price and that it included breakfast. They have updated the hotel a lot but there are few things that could make it even better. The reception and its staff were welcoming. Be warned though it’s electronic check in tho if you are techno phone the staff happy to help. Parking is free but ensure you register your car! Signs everywhere to remind you. The place seemed very clean including the bedroom and bathroom. I was on from but traffic was light after 10pmish. There only 2 plug points in my room who’s inconvenient as you could have tv on while kettle on and the other would be inaccessible if you can’t get on your knees as under the dressing table. WiFi was free and of good quality even in bedrooms. Bed was comfy but had there been 2 in the room 2 extra pillows would have been preferable. Nice to see a bath as well as shower. Nice smelling generic shower/hair and conditioner supplies. Breakfast was fine. Not a huge choice but plenty for me and it was free. Would stay there again if in the area. Last thing is it’s not right in centre of Maidstone it’s in village of Larkfield but great access to A2

I've stayed at this hotel several times. It is excellent value for money, including a free breakfast. The room was clean with all the facilities necessary for a comfortable stay. Family run by lovely people who are unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. The personal touch, of being remembered and welcomed back, beats an equivalent large hotel chain every time, in my opinion. Support small businesses before there no longer is a choice!!!

Great hotel with reasonable prices. The staff are friendly, professional, polite and always there when you need them. We couldn't have asked for better. The food was great and food and drink prices are very reasonable. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Overall great hotel for the price you pay!

I stayed here for 2 nights for work. The car park was small to the front of the property but large to the rear. Dependent who you book through, is whether you get breakfast included or not. Only card transactions at premises, no cash. I was in room 118, which was spacious. The decor was tired and the curtains in my room did not shut out all the outside lights. There was a small table and chair in room. The ensuite was okay, with a shower over a bath. You had to push the room to the door shut, the closer did not close it shut. Staff were friendly, breakfast was okay (I only had contiental).

Two nights in superior room, below standard.|Hotel generally outdated with dirty carpets on ground floor and dying plants in sitting areas.|No lifts, steep stairs.|Bed comfortable but extra single bed and excess furniture.|Only one chair as no room for another.|Bare walls, no paintings!|Bathroom sink missing the plug, told staff who said they would replace. Not done by evening and never did get one.|Yellowing paint in bathroom, clearly had new walk-in shower fitted which we required.|Hotel has apparently recently been taken over and had its name changed.|Breakfast was sufficient but times rather early for retirees, 06:30 to 09:30!|Rather confusing corridors, could do with signage indicating reception etc.|Plenty of parking space but must register vehicle in reception.|Generally comfortable but hotel below standard.
