For being a Forrest with most visitors having dogs cafe could be sign posted a bit better to use external room for customers with dogs, wasn’t aware there was another entrance. Cafe attended seemed personally bothered by this and was passive aggressive about us using wrong door with the dog towards other customers. In turn didn’t feel as welcome so left without purchasing. Normally whenever I come in and get a coffee the other girls are generally very polite.

We were refused food when we told them our daughter had an allergy. Non of the signs in the cafe said anything other than to let them know if you had an allergy. Had any of the signs indicated they would not provide food to people that had an allergy we would not have even bothered. They did not seem to recognise that nearly every food they serve is an allergen to someone. Very poor attitude from the lady that dealt with us , rolling her eyes and laughing as we complained. Bad experience to what started as a wonderful day. Take a packed lunch. From what I've heard the food is not all that good anyway.
They say that there will be bigger facilities at some point in the future where they can cater better for allergy sufferers. I won't hold my breath.
It does have wheelchair access but you won't be able to get by the tables and chairs which crowd the areas. You'll end up outside.

Refused food due to our child having an allergy, probably wouldn't have minded as much if it wasn't for the disgusting attitude from the staff in there. On positive note saved £8.60 for beans on toast, no that's not a typo!

Nice location but gets busy and service can be slow. Fairly expensive for what you get too. Would probably recommend bringing a picnic instead.

Staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, very slow service, no one clearing tables and prices ridiculously high for very mediocre drinks. Think I'll just bring a flask next time I visit Hamsterley.

Wonder from the main path into the woodland and you can experience the beauty of the Forest. Remove your shoes and allow your bare feet to connect with the Earth. Connect to the mycorrhizal network. The sacred connection beneath your feet that we’ve been so long disconnected from. Enjoy the silence, peaceful bliss and feel the 21st century syndrome float away. It’s such a shame these sacred forests are so sparse. Once, enormous areas of this land were vast forests where our ancestors lived in small communities at one with nature and the old ways. I highly recommend you spend more time in the forest and read about the benefits to yourself, physically, mentally and spirituality.
