I have left this practice after many years of substandard care bordering on neglect! The subsequent decline in my health and the nonchalant attitude to my health problems that were serious but ignored were the final straw and why I left. I have submitted a complaint to a health governing body. The new practice I joined approximately 3 weeks ago has already invited me for a health check, something that has never happened at Handbridge! This is a check GP practices offer that I am eligable for but have never been offered at Handbridge, why?
I would not recommend this practice, there's something seriously lacking there and I say this as a retired nurse and midwife.

Still in shock at how rudely I was treated at this practice by NP Sarah Godsave. I needed an appointment anyway to discuss test results but was in a car accident the night before and hit my head. When I asked if she could check me over I was told “it’s not my issue.” She said I either had to go to A&E or make another appointment in 3 days time. So uncaring, and cannot believe the advice was to add further appointments to an already overloaded NHS system. No wonder it’s in trouble.

I had an emergency coming from a foreign country.
The woman at the reception was very warm and helped me in the most nice way. I got an appointment the next day and was treated very nicely and competent.

I have nothing but admiration & am most grateful to the wonderful doctors & nurses & staff from this medical practice. I'm always treated how I treat them politely & honestly. I've often heard people be rude to these wonderful people who do nothing but help & they are NOT there to be abused in any way they truly are professional & courteous & would HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone

Reception are friendly, medical staff are cheery and nonjudgmental. It never feels like I need to wait long to get an appointment and they're quick to answer the phone. I'm moving out of the catchment area and I'll be very sad to leave this GP behind!
