Visited a couple of weeks ago for the wine tour. Very informative tour in beautiful surroundings. After wine tasting, sampled local cheeses. We had booked to camp for the night, the only tent in the field! A glorious relaxing evening watching the local wildlife, including hares in the field and spotting the barn owls leaving their nesting box and searching for food throughout the evening. Amazing sunset as well. Thank you.

Really enjoyed our trip. Bought this my husband as a gift as he is unsure on wine and what he would like. But this has given him the chance to try a few. we had a lovely tour and learnt a few interesting things including the family history. Lovely meal also. All in all an enjoyable few hours.

We enjoyed a wine tasting afternoon at Hanwell. A £20 taxi ride from Ruddington. When we arrived, we were offered complimentary tea or coffee. Nice, but we felt that before wine tasting, it was not best for the pallet. Adding a free small wine would have been a great option in our opinion.
David was a fantastic host with plenty of energy and lots of knowledge. It was very interesting to learn the history of British wines and how they grow grapes and make their wine. The tasting was good but we couldn't try every one they made.
We had a cheese board afterwards, which was superb. Maybe matching the cheese with the wine tasting would be a good option. I sort of expected it after doing this before elsewhere a few times. Maybe an option for Hanwell in the future....
Overall, it was a good experience that we would recommend 👌

Visited Hanwell Wine for a bronze tasting experience that was a Christmas gift from my daughter. The experience was excellent, the tour guide Dave was very knowledgeable giving history of wine in the UK not just Hanwell as was the case at another vineyard we visited last year. He also gave excellent insight on processes for wine growing and impact of man on wine in the 19th century that destroyed vineyards at the time. The wines were a mixture of good and not so good but the time for the tour and tasting was insightful and would recommend Hanwell for that reason. Hopefully return in the future for an overnight camping trip, art trip and some more wine 🍷

We had a 'vineyard tour and meal' gift voucher for here, and bought a second one for a birthday gift for another couple to join us. Both booking the camping field so that we could stay over. Great location £20 per vehicle. There had been quite a few emails back & forth, making sure two sets of food was ordered, and that the four of us would be sitting together etc only to find, after the tour, that there was only two meals, not four. After discussions, email confirmations etc we did get the additional meals, but it rather spoilt the birthday treat .... sort of defeated the many arrangements made beforehand. Tour and talk was excellent. Good to sit outside. Tea & coffee provided.

There was only one wine/ water stop on the run instead of the two advertised. The wine tasting was half a small plastic shot glass of wine, and they were only interested in giving samples to those who wanted to buy. When it became obvious we didn't want to buy a bottle, we were told "to go away", we had only had two samples. The way the run is advertised, you get the impression that the wine tasting is part of the 25 pounds cost of the run. Not very organised and definitely not value fir money.
