We had a private lunch here for a family birthday. The room set up was great and suited us and our party perfectly. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals! The crispy chicken burger was very tasty. We had a lovely afternoon.

We booked a room for one night at the Harbour Hotel and it was extremely pleasant. The hotel itself is grand and it has two dining restaurants for you to choose from. If you would like to eat at The Long Bar & Grill, I would recommend booking in advance as it was fully booked when we arrived and was only serving drinks to people without a reservation. Instead, we ate in the Harbour Restaurant which was also lovely. The staff were super friendly and attentive. I ordered the market crudités to start and the salmon fillet for main. Everything was delicious. My partner couldn’t make his mind up on what he wanted for dessert, so asked the waiter what he would recommend. The kind waiter suggested the Knickerbocker Glory and it didn’t disappoint. ||We booked a deluxe room which was the perfect size for two people. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The TV had lots of movie options available to rent. ||Breakfast had a variety of options to choose from. The food was delicious, especially the hash browns. ||We had booked the spa the night before as the hour slots get booked up pretty fast. If you are staying in the hotel, you have to have your hour slot time before you check out. We had ours booked for 9.30-10.30. |The spa facilities include a steam room, sauna, lounge pool, jacuzzi and outside pool. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t use the outside pool, but I can imagine it’s lovely on a sunny day. I actually think an hour is a perfect amount of time to use the spa without the treatments. The gym is also included. ||Overall, our stay was enjoyable. I would definitely stay another night here. Only downside is parking is a little bit hard. They have a car park but it was full when we arrived in the late evening. We ended up parking in the G Live car park next door. On a Sunday, you don’t need to pay for parking until 11am so that fits perfectly with check out time.

Lovely environment and location. Afternoon tea is super and the service is great. Thanks to Egzonn for looking after us. We were undecided about what to have from the menu and he helped us. The sandwiches, scones and cakes are all lovely and beautifully presented. My parents had a great time!

Paid £245 to stay in a business double room at your hotel from October 12th to 13th. Normally, I’m not bothered by minor issues like noise or imperfections, but the extremely rude treatment we received from a waiter at breakfast today was absolutely unacceptable.||||My six-year-old son, who has confidently served himself in numerous hotels we’ve stayed at, used tongs to place a sausage on his plate without any issue. Suddenly a waiter abruptly shouted at him from behind, causing him to drop the tongs on the table in shock. The waiter then loudly criticized my son, saying, “This is exactly what I meant!” Despite his rudeness, I only told my son to let me help him with the food.||||Then the same waiter, not realizing my husband was part of our family, insulted me by calling me a “stupid woman” within my husband’s hearing range. My husband intervened, but the waiter merely pretended to be apologetic. When we brought this issue to the manager, he immediately defended his staff without fully understanding the incident. He doubted the waiter would behave in such a manner and stated he would only seek an apology if the waiter admitted to his behavior. Then We received no further attention or apology during our uncomfortable breakfast, and no one followed up with us before we left the hotel. ||||As a former public relations director for a five-star hotel group, I think retaining staff who openly insult guests, especially children and women, damages your brand. Although the manager was polite, he completely failed to address our concerns effectively, reflecting poorly on the hotel management. I cannot recommend your hotel and would hate to come again. You are welcome to contact me for booking ref and investigation.

We’ve spent 15 nights with Harbour Hotel. Everything is good. The steaks in the long bar are very delicious. The breakfast and lunch in the harbor bar are tasty too. Egzonn who serves in the harbor bar is very kind and friendly. One day, my husband and I had lunch in the bar and my husband dropped off £5 on the floor but none of us realized. In the next day, I was talking to the reception for parking issues, Egzonn came to me and gave back the £5, by saying that he found it after we leaved. That’s so kind! We spent a happy experience in Harbour Hotel!

I am posting this about my experiences at the Harbour Hotel spa.
As you walk into the lobby, the bar area is approachable, spacious and the staff are very friendly.
The spa treatments have always been wonderful and I highly recommend if you are in the area or want to make a special trip.
I recently had the lava shell massage and the truffle facial.
My lovely therapist, Anna was highly experienced and knowledgeable. She listened to my needs (I’d had recent surgery and she adapted the treatment accordingly). Her attention to detail was superb and incredibly thoughtful.
The spa manager Charmaine has always been attentive and very inclusive to the needs of others. I am looking forward to going back.
Had a wonderful sleep and was so relaxed!

Good hotel. The bar staff are lovely but they do sometimes lack awareness so you have to raise a hand to get their attention. Generally though..good

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Harbour Hotel Guildford for two weeks in August, and I must commend the exceptional experience I had. From the moment I arrived, the seamless check-in process and efficient front desk staff set a positive tone for my stay. The air-conditioned rooms were not only well-appointed but also impeccably clean, ensuring comfort and relaxation throughout my visit.

A special mention goes to Dayo at reception, whose charm and professionalism truly stood out. Dayo made every effort to enhance my stay by personally handling wake-up calls with his warm and charismatic presence. His attention to detail, from remembering my name to inquiring about my daily experiences, added a personal touch that made me feel truly valued.

Additionally, William from the Harbour Restaurant deserves high praise. His exceptional service, coupled with his extensive knowledge of the menu, was outstanding. William’s meticulous attention to dietary restrictions and his ability to recall my preferences ensured a dining experience that was both delightful and tailored to my needs.

The hotel’s location is another highlight—conveniently close to shops and restaurants while situated in a serene and quiet area that guarantees a restful night’s sleep.

Overall, the Harbour Hotel Guildford exceeded my expectations in every regard. The professionalism and thoughtfulness of the entire staff contributed to a stay that was both enjoyable and memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a blend of comfort, elegance, and exceptional service.
