We recently had Hardings Caterers provide the food and service at our wedding, and while our overall experience was mixed, it's important for us to share both the highlights and the areas where we felt let down.

Firstly I want to make it clear that this review is no way related to our venue, this is purely a Hardings review.

The staff on our wedding day were truly exceptional. From the waiters to the servers, kitchen staff, and our catering manager, Adam, everyone went above and beyond to make our day special. They were attentive, professional, and incredibly warm, ensuring that every detail was taken care of seamlessly. They made our guests feel welcome and were there whenever we needed them, making the atmosphere exactly what we hoped for. Both of us used to work in events and several of our friends that attended the wedding are caterers, and we were all very impressed! Gorgeous food, lovely staff, pure perfection. We cannot thank them enough for their dedication and hard work, which truly made a difference on our big day.

Unfortunately our experience with senior management during the lead up to the wedding was far less positive. Over the course of 8 or 9 months, we had 3 different catering managers, which led to communication issues and huge delays. While we know that staff transitions are a part of any business, this added to a massive amount of stress for us. For example, our food menu tasting took place only 9 days before the actual wedding, meaning we were forced to choose our food choices for the guests weeks before without actually sampling any of the food, adding unnecessary stress to the planning process. I think we'd all agree that no couple would choose to try the food that close to their big day when no major changes could be made.

Despite the hurdles we faced, when we raised our concerns with the management and suggested some form of acknowledgment for the difficulties, we felt ignored and dismissed. It seemed like they did not take our concerns seriously, and the overall response left us feeling undervalued as clients.

In the end, we found ourselves with no choice but to proceed as planned, despite the lack of accommodation or consideration from management. It was disappointing to feel that our loyalty and patience throughout this process went unrecognised, and it seemed to feel like they knew we were too close to our wedding day to properly explore other options and took advantage of that.

To anyone considering Hardings, know that Adam and the team on the ground will absolutely take care of you on your big day. Their dedication was a standout, and we truly cannot praise them enough. However, if you value a smooth planning process when things don't quite go to plan and value feeling heard by those at the top, this may be something to consider.

Our experience serves as a reminder that great service should extend beyond just the event day, it’s about the entire journey.

Hardings provided the catering for my 60th birthday celebration, for which there were around 100 guests. I was so impressed with the catering and the service we received. From the very beginning, planning the catering and working alongside the venue manager, they were super professional and immediate with any responses to queries and questions. They really were a great support in ensuring that the event went according to plan and that every detail was attended to. The food was amazing and I received so much feedback from my guests saying how delicious it all was. It was indeed fabulous food and presented beautifully. A huge thank you to Matt and his Team for being so amazing!

Hardings catered our wedding at Field Place and the food was amazing. It was an absolute pleasure to work with their Catering Manager, Matt. From sitting down with us initially to discuss our menu options and choices to, on the day, ensuring everything went to plan. He was attentive and took care of everything. Harding's provided the catering for our wedding at Field place and all we can say is just WOW, the food was absolutely amazing and every plate was clean!!

We had a BBQ buffet which we defiantly recommend as not just us but every guest we have spoken to have said how much they enjoyed the food, Adam, Darren and the team really went out of their way to ensure all guests with dietary requirements were well catered for. From initial planning to end result they have been amazing at making sure we had nothing to worry about.

I would recommend Hardings Bar and Catering Services 100%. They carried out the catering for my son's wedding reception, which we held in our garden. Leading up to the wedding I was in contact regularly with Adam Brine, who was amazing. He explained to me exactly what would happen on the day and completely put my mind at rest and it meant I could step back and let it all happen, stress free. Adam was always there if I had any questions or worries leading up to the day, which he answered by return. On the day of the wedding Dean Harding, Matt and Harry came to the house and they were so professional, the food preparation just happened in the background, whilst they also made sure that guests had drinks on arrival and were topped up as and when necessary. The food itself, of which there was plenty, was truly INCREDIBLE. We had three choices of main course and also a vegan option all served with delicious fresh vegetables, then two dessert choices, which were also amazing. Followed by coffee or tea and chocolates. EVERYONE without exception could not speak highly enough of the food - or Hardings, in fact they are still going on about it!

I have to say that from the early planning with Adam, right through to the day with Dean, Matt and Harry, Hardings really were the icing on the cake, they made the day really, really special and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will DEFINITELY have no hesitation in using the services Hardings offer for any future events, either for ourselves or friends and family. Thank you to you all for making my son and daughter-in-law's beautiful wedding so special.

Hardings Bar & Catering Services provided the catering for our Head Office Christmas Party December 2023 at Field Place Manor & Barns (beauitful venue) we booked with Emma & Amanda both so helpful & a delight to work with 😊
Dean & Matt (Hardings) were very accommodating & the food on the night was just perfect, hot & delicious.
our choice, instead of the usual Christmas Meal we went with the evening BBQ with Chip Cones menu, which was an absolute hit with the guests, nothing was too much trouble & the night was stress-free & enjoyable thanks to Tom who helped with the set-up he was an absolute diamond, if the company decides hold a Christmas Party in 2024 we will definitely be booking with Field Place Manor & Barns & Hardings we'll done to all involved 😀
