This place will not immediately endear visitors, has all the old features of original home which look dark and dingy.....step back and look again, these features are rare these days and should be encouraged.|All the rooms I visited were spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. Bedroom was as good as any I have stayed in anywhere, very comfortable, well laid out and fixtures excellent ....but.....the shower was a joke, virtually no water and running red hot then freezing, bordering on dangerous. No duty manager available to raise this issue.|Breakfast was a delight and very filling.||Staff are the shining light here, all of them were young, friendly, vibrant and efficient

Went here for an early birthday treat for afternoon tea… it was super posh, lovely sandwiches and cakes… the staff were really friendly! Even the toilet was posh! This was such an amazing experience! Would definitely recommend! |I’ll definitely be going again!

Lovely surroundings & gardens at the front with plenty of outdoor tables & parasols along with an outdoor bar.
We were seated in the small dining room for our 3 course table d'hote menu.
Food served hot & tasty.
Pleasant staff serving.
Car park overly crowded at the back with 2nd hand car sales vehicles.

Quirky hotel with increadily friendly staff and generous portions. We stayed one night on our way home with our two dogs. Our room was large with a huge bed, comfy sofa and integrated bathroom. We had a nice meal, hubby's lasagne was lovely, I had a comforting bowl of mushroom soup. Lovely properly cooked food, as was breakfast again generous portions and very friendly server.|It is a lovely old building with windy corridors and a fantastic staircase - grandeur from an earlier time. Nice gardens and woods for the dogs too.|Clost to great dog friendly beaches.

As others had said this is an old building so it is important to accepted that it will be a little creaky and worn around the edges. However, we really enjoyed our two night stay mostly because of the brilliant staff and exceptional service. Will stay again when we are in the area.

We had a family celebration meal for 22 people including children . It was in a separate room on a nicely laid large table. The food care and attention we received was very good. It made the occasion perfect . Many thanks everyone . Our friends also enjoyed their overnight stay.

Nice hotel. Staff helpful and pleasant. The breakfast & buffet meal was very good and excellent value. Would use it again if ever in that area.

What a quirky place!! I was booked here by someone else for work and found it spot on. The restaurant was great and had a good variety of choice.||All of the staff were friendly and helpful and it all really did have a family feel which is nice to be around!
