We stayed 2 nights for a wedding at the Hotel. The room was a big disappointment. There was an extractor fan on the large flat roof out side our room which was right by our window. We had to keep the window shut all night and it was still very loud, As a result the room was very stuffy. Tea/coffee tray was inadequate Hardly any milk low quality coffee and only 1 hot Chocolate. There was paint peeling on the Ceiling and a dirty dressing table chair.
The Bathroom was clean and the Bed was comfortable would have been better if earplugs was supplied.
The service was good and the food was good. The wedding and reception was run efficiently. I find it difficult to see how this is a 4 star hotel. A bit of updating is needed.

Our party was four adults, this was a whistle stop for us as a one night stay early on into a UK roadtrip vacation. ||We arrived at the same time as a large wedding party (yikes!) and yet we were dealt with quickly and efficiently. |All the staff from reception to the dining room and spa were helpful and very friendly. ||The rooms were fine for what we needed. Our evening meals were OK too - not quite fine dining but quite adequate; I had the Hake. One of our party had a birthday that night and the staff came out with a cake and a song. Breakfast seemed good (I do not participate myself, but the others do) and the dining room was very busy in the morning. ||For us, this is a very convenient location, from the outside the manor house looks wonderful, the interior decor in communal areas is very nice too, as are the grounds. The spa facilities that we made good use of were of a high standard although one of the rooms was turned off during our visit, which caused a mild odour. ||Overall, Hatherley Manor was a pleasant stop for us - parking at the venue was easy, the staff were great, and our stay was trouble free.

We had building works going on in our house and needed to escape for a couple of days for rest and relaxation. Hatherley manor spa hotel most definitely ticked these boxes. From the moment we checked in to our luxurious executive spa bedroom we knew we had picked the right place. Sumptuous super king bed fluffy white towels and bathrobes and fantastic views Elemis toiletries. We spent a relaxing afternoon in the spa beautiful pool jacuzzi and trepadariums which we loved. The sauna, steam room and experience showers added were amazing. We enjoyed an amazing meal and rose wine included in our package and all staff from reception dining room and spa were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also brilliant and exceeded our expectations of a continental breakfast that was expected. The eggs Benedict were divine. The 11am checkout concluded our stay and we returned home relaxed and ready to face the builders!!!|Yes there are parts of the hotel that are in need of attention considering the age of the building but the overall experience outweighed this.

Comfortable room overlooking fields. Noisy wedding party dominated the public areas but clearly that wasn't the fault of the hotel. Excellent dinner. Recommend the Confit duck and the hake. Pleasant, helpful staff. Ample parking. Would stay again, but not at the weekend.

Stayed here for a long weekend organised by a car club. We were a large group and therefore had the use of a function room for breakfasts and two evening meals. The building, and grounds, are very impressive upon arrival as was the welcome at reception. The weather that weekend was cool and damp and the room was cold upon arrival.|Our room (109) was bijou and did not have a safe or air con (bearing in mind that this is rated 4star)! The bathroom had been modified with a glass shower screen on the bath which leaked and was fixed in position such that it made it very difficult to enter or exit the bath. Despite adjusting the radiator, we never had heating for the whole of our stay. On top of that, the “hot” water was tepid for that first evening and next mornings shower. We reported these issues and was informed that there were problems with the boilers. |Breakfasts were hit & miss with luke warm food, a tea urn with stewed tea and one toaster for 50+ people! Things did improve with breakfasts but only really became acceptable on the last day.|The group evening meal, that we attended, which was pre selected, was very average and I left most of my three courses! We were due to attend the second group meal but we, like many others, opted for the restaurant instead which was much better but they did run out of major items. |In general, the hotel seemed to be struggling with staffing levels, especially in the bar with long queues at pre meal drinks. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful but a few should not be in the hospitality industry.|I took the trouble of making a formal complaint and refused to pay the final invoice, on departure, until our issues were dealt with. Within days of arriving home I received a detailed apology from the the management and a credit against the final invoice which I then paid.|This hotel has the possibility of being 4Star but, apart from the Spa, is in need of considerable investment in many areas.

On first impression seems ok but unfortunately doesn’t live up to its star rating and has many problems. The room was very dated, worn and the bathroom was dirty and not cleaned each day. I have included a picture of the shower and this is not wet, it is dirt and mould. Additionally the water was cold in the shower and despite complaining each day wasn’t fixed. Also no brush to clean the toilet and it was not cleaned when room was made up. Bed had sheets with holes, see picture.|Breakfast was hopeless as they couldn’t keep up with demand and the cooked items on heated trays when it was there was nearly cold and made worse by no heated plates. Very poor selection of other items.|All made worse by one of our group had jewellery stolen from their room.|On the positive side the spa was very nice and in good order. Jacuzzi could have been hotter but overall very nice. Booking required and extra if not in a spa room. Plenty of parking.

We are fairly local to Hatherly Manor, and it was our first time staying, but unfortunately we won’t be staying again. We booked to stay for the night of our wedding and it was very disappointing. The pictures online are VERY misleading!!
For £170 per night, I’d save your money and go elsewhere. The grounds outside are beautiful and the entrance is also very nice, but as soon as you start heading towards the rooms through a couple of doors it starts to age quite drastically. Our room was very old and dated, it smelt musty, the carpet was clearly very old and had worn out holes in it, the light in the room just kept flickering the whole time it was on, the extraction fan wouldn’t turn off in the bathroom meaning it was going all night. The walls are SUPER thin meaning you can hear everything from down the corridors. The breakfast was nice but despite breakfast being “included” you have to pay extra if you don’t want cereal. The lady on check in was not rude but very blunt, rushed me through it and not even a congratulations when she asked why we were staying. Really disappointed and wish we’d booked elsewhere. Lesson learnt.

Attended a family event, nice staff although they didn't all give consistent answers to questions.
Small check in desk - expect a significant delay if a few people are there.
Rooms tired but functional, beds not that comfortable.
Bar on the expensive end.
Food very average, breakfast was very busy so things like eggs came out over cooked.
Room bill a discretionary service charge added I knew nothing about - Come to think of it, I wasn't shown my bill - but it felt about right so didn't query it - doh!
