We arrived on Monday to a very swift check in and a pleasant park. The caravan was lovely and clean inside but there was a disused tea bag sat outside for the duration of our stay so the surrounding area does need a clean. There was adequate cooking facilities and utensils. The bed was not great as the mattress sunk in the middle but we still slept ok due to the sea air. The location of the site is great for the town and the station, handy as we caught the train to Edinburgh. The site compared to our usual Haven at Caister is run down and could do with a revamp but saying that you couldn't beat the views over the sea and the beach

We stayed in a gold standard caravan which had all the comforts of home , including its own washing machine ! Definitely book this again , the site itself is very quiet considering its second week of Scottish holidays ( English break up tomorrow ) everything is easy to find , restaurant was very expensive for what you got , not value for money at all... arcade is great fun 🙂 didn’t go to entertainment on site as it can be too noisy for my children 🙁 all in it was a good holiday and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding area

This review should be a 2 on facilities, the only reason it's a 3 is because of the staff... ||Checked in, signature sea view, £449 for 4 nights. Never seen a caravan as bad. Pasta bolognse stains up the walls, fridge disgusting, the whole thing smelt of stale cigarettes & unclean masked with bleach. The twin bedroom smelt of fish. Carpets vile. Didn't even unpack the car, noway were we staying. Thank the lord Joanna from reception saved the day (this lady was a gem), I was inconsolable, we moved to the same raring caravan - 2 bed opposed to the 3 bed booked which was fine by us, different all together. 1 year old, immaculate. Apart from the unwashed windows you couldn't see the sea view they were that bad, we washed them with fairly liquid, should have been done. ||Site is tired & in need of a revamp. Caravans crammed together wherever you look. Signage dated. No usual nice park greenery/foliage features. ||Shop was great onsite best we have seen on a Haven, entertainment VERY average, please note this is not specific to Berwick - HAVEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING? You have the entertainment staff to produce good quality entertainment & the staff were lovely, why put on all the silly digital stuff that's all prerecorded? Let them entertain! Far too long breaks between stints & beach ball bingo very boring. Unsure how it's fair to award one best dancer a cuddly monkey, then the next best dancer (ours) a popped balloon animal ?‍♀️? If he was older he would have been upset? Hit the beat etc, fab dancing, you need more of this.|Pool - very dated. No toys for the children. Changing rooms not good, very very old & dated.|Papa Johns - awful. Delivered to caravan 45 minutes later, cold & missing 3/4 things we ordered for it. Awful|Sea view was amazing. A beautiful area to explore (luckily)! |

Booked a silver caravan for the weekend as a treat for the grandkids. ||The hits:||Check in was friendly and well organised with immediate access available. The security team supporting the check in was very friendly with clear instructions to locate the caravan. ||The caravan itself was in very good condition and was very clean. Everything worked as it should with good amounts of social space - inside and outside (if only the weather was better). Two of the three bedrooms were very small, ideal for the kids but perhaps not too comfortable for our other adult family members.||The grounds appear to be well looked after and were very clean with no signs of litter anywhere. The site is also dog friendly. Maybe more internal site signage could be provided as it’s pretty easy to roam around in circles until you familiarise yourself with the layout. ||We purchased a Haven Package which included a play pass for all of us and provides 14 bookable 1 hour swim sessions in the pool. The pool is between 1m and 1.2m deep, warm and reasonably sized with a short but pretty fast slide, perfectly safe and adequate for the kids. They loved it. ||The Misses:||Access to the entertainment was also included as part of the play pass. We have seen similar entertainment in different complexes abroad and thought most to be take it or leave it. We attended the kids activity on the first night and it was so loud you couldn’t hear the person sat next to you. We also tried to attend the slightly later activity on a different night but again, the volume was just unbearable and to be honest, the singing was horrible. Never understand why very average performers try to take on Whitney Houston’s songs, just becomes unbearable. My 8 year old grandchild asked if we could leave. ||The ‘add ons’ - you pay for pretty much everything else and nothing is cheap. I never understand a business model where rather than have all of your karts going out for around a fiver, you have one or two going out for £14 quid a time with the remaining 12-15 karts doing nothing. The arcade is also great for kids but not for parents or in our case, grandparents. We know that locations like Haven often attract low income families or single parents. But rather than being able to afford a few of the payable attractions, their kids are being encouraged to spend the majority of their time fleecing their parents to engage in low level gambling to line the pockets of Haven. Strange social conscience on display from Haven here.||Whilst clean, some outside spaces are a little tired, especially around the kids play areas. Perhaps some investment in these areas would help to keep kids better engaged at no cost.||Finally, the food. We didn’t eat at the ‘restaurant’ as we had seen the food coming through the pass. We decided instead to try the chippy, turned out to be the worst decision of all. Overpriced and very poor quality - sausages appeared to have been cooked a few times.||Won’t return to Haven and wouldn’t recommend.

Haven - pretty standard. As with all static sites the holiday is what you make of it.

The rooms are predictably cramped but then you only go in there to sleep.
There is ample space in the living area and kitchen.

Booked for 5 but the dining table seats 4 max.
In our accommodation the kitchen was lacking in cookware. Provided was 1 large pot, 1 small pot and a huge scruffy frying pan, the lids did not belong or fit. Two serving spoons but nothing for simply stirring a pot. Two large sharp knives and a tiny serrated veg knife but nothing serrated and large enough for a bread roll. Scissors couldn't cut a thread either. Had to go out and purchase what was needed for a kitchen to properly function, (mid sized pot and frying pan, spatula to stir, scissors, cheese grater, knives) and decided to bring them home to avoid being charged for leaving anything behind.
The shower cubicle was a good size but both bathroom radiators need looking at - rusty all over, and the shower hose leaked heavily.
The bathroom window is also not secure, even when fastened closed it can be pulled open easily from outside.

We had a pleasant break to spite the above. Berwick itself is lovely and the locals are generally nice to visitors. Dogs everywhere and allowed in most places which is lovely if you are a dog person ?

Just got back from a week away here. We had a great time, although park is a smaller park than we're used to. Views are spectacular, we had a front row sea view and was breathtaking to wake up to every day.
Swimming pool was good, we didn't use the outdoor swimming pool although looked great. Kids play park was pretty small so quite often ended up having to wait to use anything. Arcades were huge and had a lot of choice and thankfully weren't the new 'cashless' ones that are popping up.
Entertainment was good, we went four nights and got a table every time. Kids enjoyed themselves watching the shows and playing bingo.
Activities were fun, we done bug hunting, coastal explorers and a nature trail. Rangers were knowledgeable and made it fun for the little ones.
Restaurant was hit and miss. First visit we waited nearly an hour for food, next time food was out in 10 minutes. Ate there maybe 4 times and had to send a burger back as the bacon in it was stone cold but was remade with no fuss. There were one or two members of staff that didn't seem to want to be there. We asked for a spoon on one occasion and a pot of sauce on another and same waitress said yes and neither item appeared. That being said all food we had was tasty and with kids eat for a ÂŁ1 deal it was well worth overlooking minor issues.
Caravan itself was gorgeous, cleaning was definitely an issue but that's being dealt with via Haven at the moment.

Very busy site... very busy.

Everyone on site was absolutely lovely, the staff are the friendliest bunch of people I've ever come across. BEWARE OF KARON - staff member in the mini mart who seemed to take a little bit too much pleasure in speaking down to customers. Shouldn't be working on a family holiday park, perhaps solitary confinement would suit her better. Very fitting name though which did make me giggle. Other than that everyone was great, especially the front of house staff and security.
